the 1 benefit of the national service policy is the memes on twitter - I’ve wasted enjoyed a good hour there.

The Sunak's will probably rent it out.
Add it to the portfolio

Nobody who would want to live up there could afford the rent.

It's a Captain Tom type complex. Health club, country house hotel , swingers gaff.

When you have made £120million this year from being PM and your wife significantly more, it is a small prize to pay.

He's richer than the King ffs. He must be counting down the days to freedom now. Like clock wathching in a bad play.

Its hardly her fault. No one told her that this was the kind of Brexit that she voted for. She was led to believe that we would have a more Norway type solution, with continued free movement for the right kind of people.
As it was a bunch of remoaners got in and made a mess of Brexit.

I reckon Mrs Sunak must be richer than the king, she has been on a really good gravy train the last few years, I know that makes me sound jealous I’m really not I just can’t get my head around anyone needing or wanting that much money.

She won't take British citzenship because it would interfere with her inheritance rights. So she must be travelling on an Indian passport with indefinite leave to remain .

Everyone told her the Brexit she'd get.

Fuck all sympathy from me.

He is so blinking spineless, same as Boris hiding in fridges can’t possibly even contemplate dealing with anyone that isn’t a fully paid up member of the Conservative party, I dunno just cowardly.

These are not the actions of a man who plans on being in the UK on the 5th July.

It hasn't turned out anything like that.
Its much worse.

Be interesting how the US treat her if she plans on staying there.

When you cut an arm off it doesn't grow back and we probably cut a foot off as well- but like the pint that's a good British measurement !

That all very well, but if no one has ever tried to cut off an arm and a foot before, how will you know they won't grow back Boriser?

ShambalaAnna · 26/05/2024 15:02

That’s not what I said. You don’t have to “sell it off” to let private capital ruin it. Thought that was abundantly clear these days.

This is Wes Streeting’s current plan, to utilise more private components within the NHS.

Have you even listened to them talking about it? They are clear that this is only because the NHS is in such a mess and will take some time. In the meantime they are planning to use some private options so people get treatment. It's going to take some time to sort out the NHS after the Tories have finished with it.

Chinny , chin up and anyway he's effed off to be out of the country making money talking shit to pay for his eventual divorce and find/fund a new mistress the one armed bandit that he is.

Just scrolled through acres of Mail shit and hardly a thing about the election.Their algos must have figured it's the biggest turn off since god knows what.

Starmer doesn't 180°.

He did a brilliant interview on R4 the other morning where he explained he wants to do x,y and z. But the more debt we get into and the fact he won't do anything I costed the more he's had to decide x and y are priorities and he needs to start with x.

He also said in an ideal world where money is no object he'd do x,y and z. He stands by believing we need x,y and z. But he also stands by not running up more debt and doing things we can't afford.

It was the best speech and most honest speech I've heard from an MP or PM for years.

I really felt for him in this interview. He doesn't blister lies in a positive, authoritarian voice like Hunt. The interviewer kept asking him about plans he had to admit can't be done yet. It's obvious he can't do everything but he is going to be held accountable for not sorting the Tory mess instantly.

Igotjelly · 26/05/2024 21:29

It was really refreshing to hear Rachel Reeves acknowledge on BBC this morning that challenging spending decisions will need to be made.

He's a thoroughly decent and honourable man with an icy inner steel to get the job done and try and make Britain great again or at least not so bad. I hope events don't destroy him when he finally gets the keys. The problem is he is probably 10 years late and the lunatics have taken over the asylum. He has always been that way. This popped up in my You Tube feed - he's no Jonny come lately as a man of ethics and principles. It's baked in.

GF of a family member used to work for Starmer and won't hear a word against him. Reckons he's fundamentally decent and it's extremely hard to pull the wool over his eyes if you aren't on top of what you are talking about.

Zonder · 26/05/2024 21:51

I've heard the same from people who have worked with him @countrygirl99

So that will make a refreshing change.

IClaudine · 26/05/2024 22:06

Maybe I am being daft, but I really am starting to feel a glimmer of hope. The rest of my family are die hard Corbyn supporters, so I have no one in real life to share this feeling with!
