I always thought she'd do the "Fighting bravely through the tears" schtick.

A perfect example of how if they'll do the dirty with you, they'll do the dirty on you, and no matter how rich, thin or successful you are it won't stop them.

She looks massively tense in the video, and he's dragging her along. I can't imagine why on earth she's done this, but I very much hope she divorces him once she's had a think.

She's plenty of money, will have more after a divorce, could easily keep the house and maintain the lifestyle.

I love F1. Watched it my whole life but today I was ashamed to watch with my DD. We have F1 academy and More Than Equal working hard to bring girls and women into the sport and this is what they have to look forward to. A sport that allows this horrendous behaviour from a man, and it goes unpunished while his wife walks proudly beside him. He tells the tv cameras the team is united, the owner standing by his side. No doubt the victim who says in the messages how much she loves her job as he presses her to call him, to wear the Spanx he likes etc has no doubt lost her job.

Shame on F1 and the FIA for letting him stand there today in Bahrain as a role model to so many. And shame on Geri for endorsing his behaviour.

A sad day for women and girls who love the sport.

Excellent post. I was also disgusted that when Verstappen was on the podium the camera went to Horner and Geri several times. There was no real need to and to see their grinning cheshire cat faces, whether fake grins or not, really annoyed me.

I know that , if by some accidental luck, I somehow managed to fall in love and marry a millionaire. If they cheated but weren't abusive, I'd be going NOWHERE. Girl Power has NEVER paid the bills.

She needed to get the Spanx out as that appears to be his thing. So disappointed in her and so much for girl power. Obviously happy to sell her dignity for his cash. Mortifying!

@CarrotOfPeace yes, I thought it is quite obvious I'm a fan and not criticising her - I'm criticising the status quo. It's depressing for women.

It’s extra difficult as any effort he makes to be contrite might be due to the connection of being more likely to lose his job if she leaves him as then he’s apparently fully guilty - vs not wanting to lose his wife for her own sake. Obviously, it appears that he already is guilty, but her staying with him gives the illusion of it being no big deal.

The photos of him wrenching her in for a kiss, are awful. She looks like he's got a gun in her ribcage. So awkward. The woman must have no self respect at all, or just be interested in her image and the money to such an extent she'd compromise herself to this extent. It's sickening.

He very much looks like the dominant partner today. I hope she can break the trauma bond and get strategic.

I imagine she’s just going with the flow, until she’s worked out what she’s going to do going forward. If he’d been found guilty, then it’s easier because people would understand if she hid away. However, the fact that he’s been acquitted puts her in an awkward position. He’s not been found guilty, but he’s not exactly innocent either. Maybe The trust has gone, and maybe she’s in the process of getting her ducks in the row.

It is so disappointing to see so many women criticising someone for doing what they feel is best for them right now.

I would be really interested to know how many women state that 100% they would leave a cheating husband and then don't when he cheats.

Geri leaving or staying literally has no impact on your life. Why are you so incensed by her choices.

People stay for so many reasons and rarely is it because they are any of the negative descriptors posted.

I've not watched any qualifying today but will watch the race tomorrow.

Will the Horner Gate detract from the race? I'm thinking all this has come out at the start of the season in a hope that it will get lost in the news? (Apologies if this has already been suggested.)
