So, Geri's in Bahrain holding hands with him. And all we can think is "WE KNOW WHAT'S BEEN ON THAT FINGER!!!"

I always thought she'd do the "Fighting bravely through the tears" schtick.

Since the Thais who own the controlling share of RedBull are supportive of Horner - to the extent that they turned up in Bahrain to be seen with him in public, when they are usually so secretive - it points to there being more than meets the eye in terms of what's happening at RB.

I read that Horner has financial backing and has been trying to buy control of RB F1 from the Thais since 2022 when RB founder Didi Mateschitz died, and that his son Mark Mateschitz, who inherited the 49% share, is furious about it. As is Jos Verstappen...

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot more to come out about the origins and veracity of these WhatsApp messages.

There’s definitely more to come. I don’t believe for a minute those messages were fake. If they were, there would be an immediate denial. As it is, the WhatsApp conversations haven’t been mentioned.

Horner is too arrogant to feel embarrassed and humiliated. Geri will cling onto her lady of the manor lifestyle.

the messages are easily faked, take a genuine message chain and change some of the messages, you can do it in mins.

Thank you! I was about to create a similar post. This is not about Horner and his PA or about Geri being upset. All of that is true, but this is about power and money. Jos Verstappen (Max's dad and a very unpleasant character) was in a relationship with the PA. Horner also started a very sleazy relationship with her that seems to mainly consist of him getting her to talk dirty so he can get some 'relief'. It is unclear where or when the overlap in the relationships happened. The PA grew tired of being used as a 'porn channel' (her words) and tried to get Horner to stop. He didn't want to. I suspect that what would have happened is that she would have left to find another job and nobody would no anything if it wasn't for the power play going on in the background.
Horner has been raising cash to back a bit, along with the Thai 51% shareholders to buy the whole of the Red Bull car division, which includes the F1 Team, an engine factory and will also include a roadcar division. Jos has never liked Horner and he also feels that his boy does not get the recognition and money that he deserves. Unfortunately Max signed a long term deal that can't be renegotiated unless the Team Principle changes at Red Bull. At some point Jos would have expressed his frustration to the PA. The PA perhaps showed Jos the messages that she'd saved and was encouraged to complain about Horner. They did the internal investigation and it didn't deliver the result that Red Bull Austria and Jos wanted. Then we got the leaks.
I can't see how this can end with Max and Horner both at Red Bull in 2025. I feel that the PA has been used as a pawn in this and I hope she will be well compensated at some point. We know she turned down a £650K payout from Horner.
As a Ferrari fan I just hope this soap opera will make Red Bull less dominant on track at some point.

Yes there would have been a denial. Dishonesty about the affair is also dishonesty. Dishonesty all around.

In answer to a previous poster, yes, I do think it's likely Horner texts like an uneducated teenage boy. He's not an Oxford professor, is he? He's not renowned for his erudite and cultured conversation.

During his rather uncomfortable press conference (poor Christian - he's the real victim here!), he said:
"The only reason that this has gained so much attention, obviously, is because of the leakage* and the tension that there's been drawn in the media."
He did not say the leaks were in any way false.

*I assume he's talking about the WhatsApp msgs and not the leakage in the plane bathroom! 😬

Im watching the press conference - surely he would have been prepared for this. They would have suggested stock answers for the questions and yet he is still so uncomfortable.

Part of his job surely is to be the media facing person and he should be a lot better at it.

He comes across as so guilty and just wishing for people to stop talking to him about it.

Motorsport magazine are now reporting that Helmut Marko is now being investigated by Red Bull relating to media leaks.

Hopefully he'll confirm if it was a finger or something else ☝

I was trying to work out if it was a finger or a dick. The only thing I'm sure of it that it was wet, like he'd just washed it.
