How old were you when you lost your virginity?

And if you have children old enough, how old were they?

I keep hearing about how kids are losing their virginity younger and younger now so I was curious to know how old you were, compared to your children.

I was 17. Dh was 13.

DD is 10 and still at the age where anything sexual grosses her out (thank god). They are currently doing sex education at school at the moment and she comes home horrified every time

Yes, I'll be 46 in June. I'm aromantic asexual and have essentially been single all of my life. It really doesn't bother me and it's not something I really think about, other people seem to be more bothered about it.

I was 17. My boyfriend was 18 and we'd been together a few months. We were both virgins and did it on valentine's day. It was very sweet!

marshmallowburn · 21/02/2024 16:13

Anyone else going to fess up to a number of partners?

horseyhorsey17 · 21/02/2024 16:14

Fifteen. (Nearly 16). Hated it so much that I didn't have sex again for well over a year.

https://www.asexuality.org/?q=overview.html is probably the best known site, it has FAQs.

Mid twenties

Surprised how many were below the age of consent. You could probably report your partners to the police as you couldn't consent.

13 and I really really wanted to. This idea that it's all older men coercing young women, I mean agree that a child cannot give consent but it's a tad more complex when it's a 13 year old girl tearing the clothes off a 13 year old boy.

OMG YES!!!!! I was 14 and I had been FANTASISING ABOUT IT for at least a year, if not two!!!!
I was tearing off the clothes of a 17 year old boy, who I was dating at the time! He was the one trying to take it slow and not go there, partly because of the age difference, and also because he was more experienced than I was (he had some experience and I had none!) and I was having absolutely NONE of it!!!!

Why would we want to, though?! What a bizarre thing to say. No one forced most of us to have sex.

SomeCatFromJapan · 21/02/2024 16:21

I was 15, a couple of months short of my sixteenth birthday. My partner was also underage.

BroughttoyoubyBerocca · 21/02/2024 16:22

15, fairly standard amongst my peers. I looked a lot older too

InSpainTheRain · 21/02/2024 16:24

I was 14, no regrets. I am not sure about my DC, perhaps around 18 and 20 yo.

Not sure about the police thing if they are the same age but agree so many lost it young. It's sad.

UnderTheMidnightMoon · 21/02/2024 16:25

Too young! 16 - a holiday romance which I got a bit swept away with. I don't really regret it but it was a bit too young I feel.

I'm 40 now, so this was late nineties.

VickyEadieofThigh · 21/02/2024 16:25

18 and at university. My first proper boyfriend and we'd been inseparable for almost 2 terms. He was lovely!

girljulian · 21/02/2024 16:25

I was 15. There was no peer pressure, I went to a "nice" school in a bad area where we judged girls who got pregnant (few and far between; it was a religious school). But I was still last. This was early 2000s.

Odd.
