Ugly

Just that really. People probably know I have been posting about my house . And that's getting there which is great. I can fix that .

But I can't do anything about being Ugley. This is not just me saying it ok truly ugly. I know my children love me. But I should think they are embarrassed by me. I'm embarrassed about myself so they must feel that way to.

I have a mix of white and mousey hair which Is frizzy. I have freckles , my chins cover a good part of my neck. I have frown lines between my eye brows . I frown in my sleep. Most of my teeth are missing. I'm fat . I don't look after myself as I should because I think what's the point. I have not bedn tk the hair dresser in over 10 years . Because I feel like what's the point of nice hair if i have an ugly face.

I forgot what else I was going to say

It's so sad that you feel this way OP. I'm 56 and fat. If I didn't dye my hair it would be grey and if I didn't wear make-up I'd look like a potato. I do though and I always, always wear red lipstick and get compliments about it all the time. Just minor adjustments can make all the difference.

Oh, and I also don't go to the hairdresser because I've been "blessed" with elephant ears!!

Agree with @peoplearepeople - I grew out my grey over covid times and I am glad to get off the hair dye merry go round tbh. It's in much better condition now and I get compliments on it which I never did when it was dyed. @Shithole101 your hair looks white at the roots which, with your natural waves, will look absolutely stunning 🤩

I was thinking that maybe it would be a good idea not to dye your hair op. I think it could make you look better short term and that would give you a boost, but within a few of weeks you'll have white roots showing aand it'll just need done again.
It doesn't sound like you have the energy to keep on top of that kind of maintenance. I'm worried you'll feel like you're failing again when the roots come through and you haven't redyed it yet.

The white hair you have is a lovely colour and there's quite a lot of it so maybe it would be nicer to just clip your hair back for now and leave the white to grow out some more. Then when you are up to it in the future have a good trim. (Do you feel up to cuting the ends yourself?) In the meantime just try washing/conditioning or co-washing with a product that you like the smell of so feels enjoyable to use.
If something gives us pleasure then we are more likely to do it again. Remember small and easy steps. Flowers

Yes in reality I think your right. I think i need small steps for now. As you say I won't keep it up. The white bit has been like that for several years it does not seems to grow or change. The brown has been like that for years as well . Does not seem to be joining the white. Front part of my hair as always been very odd. I don't know how to cut it myself. I would probably mess up. Not that it would makes a big difference. What's co-washing ?

You don't need to give yourself an amazing haircut. I was thinking about just putting it in a ponytail and snipping maybe an inch off just so the ends feel fresher. It won't look massively different but might be enough to just feel better.

Co washing is when you don't use shampoo. You use conditioner to wash your hair and scalp. Because you have quite wavy hair, it can make frizz look better and define waves/curls more.
You can sometimes find this one in supermarkets. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cantu-Natural-Complete-Conditioning-Co-Wash/dp/B00E1JQ9W4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1AYLT5DAB9A1&keywords=co-wash&qid=1707932990&sprefix=co-wash%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-5

OP, I've just seen your hair and think it's lovely, honestly! ,You may want to try a bit of serum or mousse to enhance the curls, but I really do think it looks great.

Wow. I was expecting something really bad, and then you posted an image of a woman with beautiful hair. Curly, thick, and a gorgeous colour, And a fairly average normal body. Not someone who looks fat. Whatever the stats say

Ah cmon, you’re not fat , stats are not always a clear indicator, you habe a small frame, and you do have gorgeous hair, you just need your roots done, and you clearly don’t have many chins. Whatever you’re seeing,is not the reality, I can assure you, and I mean that genuinely, you look like a fairly normal women with bloody great hair.

Yeah I don't think you should perm it.
Get it cut and get some decent conditioner on it.
