So sorry for the delay. I know I promised I'd do another thread after dinner last night.
Then sort of had second thoughts as some posters started commenting on my previous thread that I was enjoying the drama, then tattle started getting involved etc etc.

I have been blocked on social media, as well as family and friends. We've all been turfed out but who cares. I have my lovely shoes back.

Letter was sent signed for today.
Hopefully she receives it tomorrow!

A happy ending (and £300 odd short) but that's what I'm aiming to get back now.

Amazing shoes Op, I can see why you wanted them back so much. The saddest part of this whole affair is that because you trusted her, so did all your friends, and she's used it to take money off them. I've been burnt this way and now there are very few people I'd lend money, it's not worth the hassle

I’m glad you have them back. And if you haven’t yet read it, I recommend Jo-Jo Moyes’ Someone Else’s Shoes, which is an engaging and often amusing story, involving a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes. (Having never heard of them when I read it, still less owned a pair, I had to Google them!) After your ordeal you may find the book light relief!

I would pursue her at small claims court for certain and I would report the situation to the National Pawnbrokers Association - you might not get any resolution from the pawnbrokers but having it noted that they were handling what was essentially stolen goods will be useful for others.

I hope your group of friends are doing ok after the revelations

They are definitely my shoes. I haven't had them rehealed, they've only been worn a couple of times.

They still sell that particular style but not in that colour.. I don't think anyway. My brother was under the impression they were limited edition. It's one of their classic shaped shoes though so the actual shoe is still on sale and always will be.

It's sad that people need to google / reverse search my images to make sure I'm not trolling everyone but I guess this place is filled with trolls so I don't blame anyone.

Wonder if any of the tattle readers are on here yet!
