Whether it’s personal or well known, which unsolved case makes your brain sound like dial up?

Peter Falconio’s body being found would likely clear up so many rumours about his girlfriend. Even though there’s been a conviction she’s still the subject of gossip

Her death wasn't ruled a suicide. They couldn't come to a definite conclusion about what happened so it was ruled undetermined

There have to be people/a person who knows what happened to her. How they live with themselves I do not know

I always felt so sorry for him and his wife, especially when people started rumours saying he was involved. It was so sad when he died without knowing what happened to his daughter. X

Claudia Lawrence. If posters know what happened, why hasn't anyone said anything. Something about her case hits close to home, like the media critiquing her love life somehow. Somebody knows something.

I'm convinced her brother killed her out of Jealousy.

Natalie Pearman who was found dead in 1992, not far from me in Norwich.
The torso of a young boy found in the Thames in 2001 and named Adam by Police officers who believed he had been used for a sacrifice.

That was so haunting, and the film Dreams of a life (think that was the title) was one of the saddest things I have watched

The boy in the box? If so, He was identified finally! His name was Joseph Augustus Zarelli.

I think that too and the parents covered it up out of guilt or the fact that they couldn't bear to lose two children.

The Dyatlov pass incident - something caused 9 experienced hikers to cut their way out of their tent in the middle of the night half way up a mountain in temperatures as low as -40. They then WALKED over a mile, some with no shoes. Nothing in the tent was disturbed. All 9 died. Six of hypothermia, one of skull fractures and two from chest injuries. The report at the time concluded they met with “calamity or an unknown compelling force”.

The leading theory is an avalanche though for various reasons that seems unlikely (no evidence of avalanches happening in the area, no damage to the tent etc.) Other theories involve a kgb plot, military exercises, strange winds, nuclear experiments (some of their stuff was radioactive, attack by local people or a yeti - very little actual evidence of anything.

Freaks me out whenever I think of it - what could make 9 people cut out of their only shelter and, in an apparently orderly fashion, walk without clothes into those conditions?

I will not explain this well, but I read something recently about a female body being found, not sure when, possibly in Poland. I think she was thought to have been a spy?

Anyone know the case I mean?

Years ago I was in Whitby and somebody was wearing a t-shirt featuring his face and asking if you'd seen him, which was the first I knew of him. Much as I hate to think it, I think he probably met his fate at Kings Cross.

It wasn't found in a ship, it was a tank on the roof of her hotel.

Came on to say the same. Local to me and still not resolved.

Also Madeline McCann, Suzy Lamplugh, JonBenet Ramsay, Claudia Lawrence which are high profile cases.

A recent one is Liam Graham in Medway, near my DSiS. He was seen walking away from a car crash late at night but not seen since (been 6+ weeks now).

Andrew Gosden, my mind can’t comprehend how he went to London for apparently no reason, was saw on CCTV once and then disappeared without a trace.

I was responding to the pp who I quoted mentioning suicide. I thought the authorities conclusion had been changed from undetermined to suicide, however now you’ve corrected that I can see that wasn’t the case & is still sadly a closed case with an undetermined verdict. Anyone who could believe the poor woman did that to herself (as some actually do) is clearly very misguided & it saddens me that it’ll probably never be solved.
