Prison bloke on LBC earlier said that the prison is so short staffed that they only have enough people to cover 70% of shifts.

I think they had prison officers doing double shifts too.

A former prisoner on the radio this morning also mentioned lack of experience and that they all knew when the staff numbers were lower and when inexperienced staff were going to be on duty.

I think his definition of the word excellent and mine might be slightly different.

Well considering most things they do are world leading and beating I think he should be disappointed at just being excellent.

I was thinking that's all a bit odd, unless they ship I the candidates who were already lined up for the neighbouring constituency this this will join up with - but that can't happen with the Tory as he is already an MP. Though I suppose it could be a nice little number for someone, become an MP for a year and then wander off with your ex MP payoff and pension.

The private energy companies are saying that the government price cap is too low for the building of wind turbines to be profitable.

But wind power is much cheaper than th current alternatives. How about the gov cracks on and gets some built.

I can't believe, after the last 18 months, he'd have the bare faced cheek to say this! We heard him twist and turn to cover up for Johnson time and again.

That's the problem with pretty much all the Cabinet. We know they've lied before to save their jobs, no reason to believe they won't again.

Some of them have been arguing entirely different policy positions depending on whose cabinet they are in.

In 2019 a prisoner escaped from Wandsworth by clinging to underside of security van - just like Daniel Khalife. An upgrade to CCTV & perimeter security was then ordered.. ..but work didn’t start till 2021 & won’t be completed to 2025.

In which byline times run a story on a report that found that the government have no idea how much corruption there is in government under Sunak and someone from the Cabinet office gives an honest answer. Before someone else emails and begs them not to use it.
