Need a few days to now reorganize myself in preparation!

Today was sorting out life admin and my poor mama's hot water issue !

Her radiators are coming on upstairs when she switch's the water on to heat !

Bless her ...she phoned to say she was in the bathroom getting ready with the radiator on ....and it it mid 20's here !!

Waiting for another call back from GP re a ds issue.

Trying to meal plan of sorts, for the week using up all sorts of wonderful combinations from the freezer ,so that I can finally defrost it !

I have run the fridge down ...
It now really just has milk, marmalade, jam , and some cans of beer that I am sure the boys will use up willingly 🤣🤣.

Frozen scampi, frozen chips ,beans and use up the tartar sauce jar tonight .!

Ohhhh ...knock, knock !

My wall art , gloves and shower caps have arrived !

Had GP (doctors ) call.

Now definitely not in the mood for painting!!

A toe nail of a step forward (not even a full step !) ...
and 10 steps back it feels like !!

A referral appointment that hadn't come through, I thought ok ...he is not urgent .

GP chased it up ...
It was urgent and he should be seen/get appointment in 2 weeks .

Really can't remember what she said as I was so shocked !

I thought the tests were going to come back as GP led ..no action needed or something 🤷‍♀️!

Ok ...I was hoping for that !

We are going off to the big hospital and have a look at Big Ben while we are there !

I was so proactive for him when he was younger...
But it is hard when they are "adults" .
I sometimes feel I am making up issues for him as it just can't be possible for someone to keep getting new 4hings that need looking at !

But to be fair ....it was the GP it got the ball rolling first !

Sorry ...am on a bit of a downer tonight.

Maybe painting will be therapeutic !

Trying to get through to British Gas may just tip me over the edge here !!

Hope everything ok at the hospital and that you got through to British Gas. At some point I have to phone the doctor as it has been a while since I had BP tests etc etc. GP tends to stop my prescription if I don't go there!

I have another early shift that I wasn't expecting as another receptionist has done her back in. I just hope I don't meet the knife wielder (or whatever it was) I met Saturday morning again!

@Mumtobabyhavoc what?! That’s not calming, but will forgive you as super delighted for you! Always fancied twins but we must have anti-twin genes as in over 60 births (only 2 generations) on one side of the family we have no multiples at all.

Yes Math I remember from my toddler days never turning your back on a toddler esp the male toddler (or maybe its the asd toddler) is good advice. There was always an equal and opposite force of destruction operating if I tried to clean without observing DS 100% of the time. I remember saying DS don't empty that cupboard please after he was emptying it during my kitchen cleaning. Then he said OK stopped emptying that one and emptied the next one instead. 🙄

Awful meeting yesterday re reconstruction, the wait list has gone up again, been waiting since Dec 21 for it and now saying it maybe 2025 for first op with second op a year later. Blamed doctors strikes. I really just want it done. Private its so expensive though £25k for first op then any issues you go private someone was at an extra £6k to date then the second op costs.

Cahms meeting today at 2pm. Swimming tonight which will help take my mind off that, I did at least get them to agree to no more pointless meetings (apparently us women normally "love" hospital appointments but he'll take me off anyway and can just stay on wait list). DD been to gym and now off at school. Will watch Below Deck for more distraction. No sign of kitchen guys but at least we can put it back apart from 2 cupboards. I want to give it a good clean but not much point if they will come in with their sawdust etc everywhere.

Silkie, my DD loved emptying cabinets and drawers at that age. We had to put plastic locks on them. Your wait for reconstructive surgery is awful. I've been reading about the NHS doctor's strike. The situation must be dire for it to have come to that. I'd suggest you come to NY for it, but you would have to return for any follow-up care, which wouldn't be practical.

I saw the heron this morning. It was fairly cold, about 8C, so his neck was scrunched down to conserve heat I'd guess.

How frustrating, Silkie. I'm sorry your surgery keeps getting pushed back.

I can agree to using baby licks. Have them all over in my place! The one on the fridge broke yesterday, but Havoc hasn't noticed yet. 🤞

Was planning on going for fasting glucose test this morning, but had a crappy sleep and when I got up was quite hungry so just had a bit of yoghurt, cheese, croissant w cherry jam and some grapes. Now having a strong cup of tea.
Had to locate the remote for the LED candle lights as Havoc is obsessed with changing the colours. Me turning them on manually was completely unacceptable. 🤦‍♀️

Had a phone call this morning from the hospital for ds.
Not the hospital I thought it was going to be .
These 2 hospital's are under the same. " Trust" and we have got the other one further East of London.

9 AM !!!..🤣🤣.

Still I am happy.
Quite a quick appointment really considering it got "lost " in being bounced to different departments.

And it is a day ds is not in college so we might make a day of it looking around my favourite part of London ...that is always to far for me to go to ,🤣!

Though I have now had a horrible thought 🤔🤔....he is due exams next month !
I hope they don't clash !

Think this appointment will trump the exams though as it is to do with his heart .

More admin completed today.

I am getting in the mood for music blasting out and getting those paint brushes out tomorrow 🤣🤣!

Ordered a child’s camera for DS for his Santa present. Got a 2KG box of Heroes ( chocolate) for my friends birthday.

I have been drinking lime juice from limes and water as part of calorie cutting diet and DH noticed 2 half limes disappeared. DS is chief suspect but great if he is eating vit C. I used to drink that so much when pregnant with him. I love it. Though now we have run out.

Did cahms meeting and was fine. Then went swimming and did 100 lengths. Blue and green bin out.

I bought autumn decorations today.
