"Hold your nerve"

"They don't like it up em".

We have a choice between extremely bad alternative outcomes

One of these days I shall say what I know of one of Nadine's offspring but it is very outing and Nadine might be looking.

👀

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2023 17:07

Yes, I listened to the Carol Vorderman interview, disgusting behaviour from the Mercers

Felicity's not going to cope well with the loss of status when Johnny loses his seat.

Or the loss of money. Belts will have to be dramatically tightened in the Mercer household.

Maybe all her cesspitting on twitter is an attempt to pitch for a GB News gig. But she's going to find there are a lot of newly unemployed potential candidates for those roles after the next GE, might need a better career plan.

Blossomtoes · 12/07/2023 18:14

Never mind, they can make the lifestyle and budgeting choice and use foodbanks
like other veteran’s’ families.

itsgettingweird · 12/07/2023 19:00

I'm sure 30p Lee can give him some recipe ideas.

Or we could club together to send him a MN chicken Wink

IClaudine · 12/07/2023 19:41

Bit off topic, but urgh. I am on the verge of leaving MN. What HE has done is awful but the threads about it are disgusting. Meanwhile attention is deflected from the shit the country is in and the shit the Tories are getting away with. I despair.

pointythings · 12/07/2023 19:48

@IClaudine please don't go, we need you to be part of the Choir of Rationality when the Tory Brigade comes on shift.

I will try and hang on! Maybe hiding the threads will be the best thing.

I've hidden a fair few lately.

I guess I have probably missed some of them as well.

No doubt there will be more after the by-elections next week as the usual suspects get more scared.

This absolutely hide the threads it does make it a bit easier that way💐

coeurnoir · 12/07/2023 20:17

The wrong kind of pay rise causes inflation. By that of cause we mean pay rises for the poor who don't deserve it, and would only spend the money. Payrises for those who already have too much money doesn't cause inflation because they just put the money in tax havens.

Just catching up and saw this. It's scary how correct it is.

Notonthestairs · 12/07/2023 20:21

I'm scrolling past a lot of threads. It's a horrible story. I feel sorry for almost everyone involved.
But the circus will move on eventually.

Frustrating that it's obscuring more significant issues though.

Notonthestairs · 12/07/2023 20:24

"No doubt there will be more after the by-elections next week as the usual suspects get more scared."

Maybe Starmer will have bought another donkey sanctuary or Rayner has crossed her legs again.
God forbid they address their 13 years in Government.

Blossomtoes · 12/07/2023 20:24

Incredibly frustrating. It’s been a great few days to bury bad news.

Sadly I can’t help myself from challenging the worst of guillotine knitters.

Notonthestairs · 12/07/2023 20:28

BBC article on Johnson's phone - Adam Warner's response -
"I read this whole, long article and still am non the wiser as to what the problem is. Possibly a passcode? Changed his number? WhatsApp not available? I assume that might of the British security services can figure out how to do this"

Busy deleting stuff I expect.
