Worst thing I've stood in barefoot

I'll start I've just stood on a slug whilst barefoot!

That'll teach me for no wearing shoes outside in the dark

Cat shit - f*cking grim!

A sea urchin - unbelievably painful.

Cherrysoup · 17/06/2023 23:04

Slug, euw, done that.

I looked after my bil’s puppy for his first two weeks and did the early morning wees. I was half asleep taking him out of his crate to the garden and went back to bed asap. Putting my socks on later and discovered a dried turd on my foot. Lovely.

Weever fish. I thought I had stood on broken glass.
The pain shot up my leg and into my groin.
I then had to endure plunging my
foot into boiling hot water to draw the poison out.
Will never ever step into the sea bare foot again.

I still do. in fact, on Thursday, I was in the sea barefoot at the same beach it has twice happened to me before.

My working cocker spaniel, when a young dog used to swallow whole adult size socks and then vomit them back up a couple of days later sort of covered in a slime. It was pretty disgusting to step out of bed barefoot and straight onto one.

SinnerBoy · 18/06/2023 00:42

I had an Alsatian as a teenager, she liked soap, tights and knickers. You can't imagine following her across the grass, pulling shitty tights out of her arse, as she scuttled along, hunchbacked.

Wiping my hand on the grass, trying not to puke, opening the door left handed, trying not to touch anything, turning the tap on left handed, getting some Fairy Liquid on, left-handed...

ToBeOrNotToBee · 18/06/2023 00:44

Cold dog vomit.

Still makes me shudder.

EnthENd · 18/06/2023 00:51

A bread bin. Still got the scar from that.

Raw liver, when staying with friend who had 2 Siamese cats who liked to bat it around a bit before they ate it.

Very large dog poo, on the rug in my bedroom, a couple of hours after my friend who owned the (untrained, over indulged) dog had left.

Both in the dark!

I'm really sorry but this made me howl with laughter, mainly at the mental images 😂😂

Poppins2016 · 18/06/2023 05:57

Slug, dog poo, cold cat vomit, warm cat vomit, a plug, lego.

I can see the grim humour in it now...

Half a mouse.

Half a frog.

Both my cat's fault.

My elderly client did the same because of her cat too. I hadn’t realised whilst trying to clean mouse insides off her foot what it was until I saw its head under her chair. Still makes me want to throw up now!

HappyValleyFan1 · 18/06/2023 07:21

A slug here too and a cream egg

SinnerBoy · 18/06/2023 07:22

Was the Creme Egg really sticky?

newtb · 18/06/2023 07:26

Dead mouse - present from the cat. Also slug, brought in by said cat.

SunshineShines · 18/06/2023 07:45

Cat sick. Grim 🤢

alwaysthepessimist · 18/06/2023 08:01

A dead mouse the cat had brought in partially gutted then left it at the side of my bed - it was vile.

the bee I stood on was very painful - never walk barefoot on grass

Came here to write this exact thing only mine was in my back hall not outside 🤢🤢🤢🤢 hate slugs.

Beingboredisgoodforyou · 18/06/2023 08:24

All the usual things - plugs, lego, slugs, cat vomit, furballs, cat poo, puddles of cat wee.
The worst ...
Age 15 I trod on a miniscule fragment of broken Pyrex dish (thanks mum). Ended up in hospital for an operation to save the gangrenous big toe. Very smelly.
Dessicated pigeon corpse in the dark, in the hall. Cat found this dried out pigeon and brought it home. Very crunchy underfoot. I can still feel it now.

shellyleppard · 18/06/2023 08:26

Yep definitely liver 🤮🤮🤮🤮 my cat left a dead rat in the long grass once....guess who ran it over with the lawnmower!! 😁🤮😁

shellyleppard · 18/06/2023 08:27

Yep definitely the liver 🤮😁😁 my cat left a half eaten rat under the trampoline once. Guess who ran it over with the lawnmower 😁🤮😂

Beingboredisgoodforyou · 18/06/2023 08:33

Oh, and I've sat on a bee.

24252627a · 18/06/2023 08:48

An apple core covered in wasps 😭
(it was more of a run as I had leapt over a log and landed on the apple)

OhMyGiddyAuntFanny · 18/06/2023 10:40

I once stood on a frog at night. Fortunately I was wearing my Scholls but when I looked down it had sort of popped 🤢

hisroyalweiner · 18/06/2023 10:55

A headless rabbit thanks to the cat. Bare feet in the dark. Turned the light on and I had squished some its guts out through the hole where the head had once been.
