Nadine Dorries tells Talk TV that "something significant did happen [today] to change my mind" about resigning as an MP, after insisting this morning that she wouldn't, but she "can't reveal" what it was.

She said it wasn't Sunak as he can't personally interfere as it would set a precedent about PMs changing resignation honours list. She says she'll tell the story "one day"...

The currency of honours has just been devalued to worthless.

The thing is. If Johnson does move consitutency, that continues to strongly link Sunak to the Johnson shambles, and so does absolutely nothing for Sunak's GE prospects. If Johnson had resigned as an MP by now, perhaps everyone would talk about him less and anger would subside.

I listened to her on R4 earlier.

What she said was the money isn't there to do it now since Truss and Tory's crashed economy so their plan will be on how to grow economy and then invest.

I actually like their honesty and the fact the won't make pledges they now know are impossible to keep.
