Sorry looks like it's a twitter rumour re her parentage but still dodgy ..

DuncinToffee · 12/06/2023 18:26

It is dodgy and that's why people are asking who she is and what she has done to deserve a peerage.

RafaistheKingofClay · 12/06/2023 18:44

I had something in mind about why she’s got the peerage, but that wasn’t it. 😂

In the meantime, government has passed the statutory instrument to restrict the right to protest.

Well that is on the top of most people's agendas. Not CoL or public services. Slow walking.

God, I could get arrested when slowly pushing DH in his wheelchair up a hill. Especially as I sometimes swear a bit when doing so.

Former Tory leader Michael Howard tells @AndrewMarr9: “What Boris Johnson said this afternoon is simply not true.”

Says Sunak couldn’t have asked Holac to re-vet the 3 MPs.

He adds: “Not only was he not telling the truth, he must have known he wasn’t telling the truth.”

All this pussyfooting about. He lied.

Surely not?

Laurence Fox is going to stand in Uxbridge 🤣

That's the biggest laugh ever!

Speculation is she's one or the other but it seems Twitter is leaning towards daughter at the mo!

DuncinToffee · 12/06/2023 20:04

The Privileges Committee will not publish its report into whether Boris Johnson misled the Commons until Wednesday

Members met today to finalise their report but issues with printing hard copies mean that they need an extra day before it is ready to be published

Notonthestairs · 12/06/2023 20:06

"Rishi Sunak would block Boris Johnson from standing again as a Conservative MP before the next election, sources have told the Guardian, as the two men engaged in an extraordinary war of words."

www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jun/12/rishi-sunak-would-block-boris-johnson-comeback-as-tory-mp-sources-say

Not exactly surprising. Obviously it won't shut Johnson up. He's probably labouring (for all of 5 minutes) on his next Telegraph column.

OP posts:
Fladdermus · 12/06/2023 20:31

How can he stage a comeback before he's even fucked off?

IClaudine · 12/06/2023 20:56

Who will free us from this turbulent twat?

Notonthestairs · 12/06/2023 21:24

He's going to keep sticking his oar in. Eventually he might just sink whats left of the Conservatives - and then act like he's there to rescue them.

Nadine Mrs Tishell Dorries is giving Her Story. My Rise From Poverty, Brought Low by Conspiracy. On the front page of online Daily Mail. More front than Waterloo station. These people are deranged.

Notonthestairs · 12/06/2023 22:24

They really do love the drama don't they?
I assume she was turned down for lying to the Digital, Media, Culture & Sport Select Committee (Ch 4).

I know Dorries isn't too bothered by lying but come on - lie to your peers whilst on camera at your peril.

RafaistheKingofClay · 12/06/2023 22:29

She was on Piers Morgan’s TV show too. She’s furious. Turns out she’s the only person in the country that believes Boris when he promises something.

Exclusive:

Privileges Committee has found Boris Johnson knowingly misled Commons after rejecting central defence

MPs found no evidence to back his claim he was assured by officials that Covid guidance had not been breached - in fact they found opposite

Notonthestairs · 12/06/2023 22:57

One of the issues raised in that article is that Jack Doyle and Martin Reynolds advised against saying all guidance was followed at all times. The claim was then struck out from his speech.
Half an hour later he went off script and made the claim anyway. So he knew he was misleading HoC because he'd been told not to do it.

Johnson claimed it was as necessary for him to attend leaving parties. The committee concluded that leaving parties were not necessary business. Which they weren't.

Nadine Dorries

https://twitter.com/PiersUncensored/status/1668342567086219270?t=UWHcXqNlIVUpAgB9qIwN1w&s=19

This story is about a girl from Liverpool who had something that was offered to her removed by two privileged posh boys."

Nadine Dorries blames Rishi Sunak and James Forsyth for not getting the peerage she says Boris Johnson promised her.

Roussette · 13/06/2023 04:40

Is it wrong for me to be so highly amused at Dorries spitting anger at not being able to swan around in the HoL ?

Honestly, what has she brought to the party apart from ignorance (C4 is a publicly funded station doncha know) and a very peculiar sycophantic love of a rich entitled liar.

Eagerly awaiting committee report.
Johnson claimed it was as necessary for him to attend leaving parties. The committee concluded that leaving parties were not necessary business. Which they weren't
That statement is taking me back to that drivel he spouted about how we had to thank these wonderful people and be there for them when they left to send them off. It was his DUTY. It was WORK sipping fizz, sod social distancing

Whilst the rest of us were in lockdown of course.

StormShadow · 13/06/2023 06:58

If anything it would be wrong of you not to.

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/06/2023 07:52

I’m finding it hilarious. It’s the combination of them not bothering to find out what the rules were and that they’d apply to them too and Dorries thinking that because Boris has promised her something it should happen.

Yeah - she really didn't believe he's a liar did she?!

RafaistheKingofClay · 13/06/2023 08:42

There’s a bit where Piers Morgan asks her whether Boris might have misled her and she’s absolutely adamant he wouldn’t do that.
I’d be pissed off too. It’s not like there’s any other way she’s going to end up with a place in the HoL. No one else is mad enough to give her one.
