Again this is in the news with him getting a restraining order. I always thought Alice was nuts but I've been reading that Ioan isn't as nice as he makes out. And those silly staged pics of him and his girlfriend.

Ioan shouldnt have to pretend hes fine with having been alienated from his own children.

This isnt about a woman who has been through the wringer, this is about a woman who has lost control of someone and is therefore doing everything she can to punish them.

There is absolutely no evidence that parental alienation is a thing. It’s a phrase used by abusive men in custody cases. Children have eyes and ears. If Ioan wants to repair his relationship with his kids he needs to accept that a) he broke it, and b) his kids don’t owe him anything. He is not entitled to their love and adoration, he has to do something to deserve it. Repeatedly being told they’ve been ‘brainwashed’ by their preferred parent must feel so patronising to them, no wonder he’s not in their good books.

Ok you absolutely cannot be for real. Parental Alienation is not a thing?

Literally nothing more to say.

tigger2022 · 28/06/2023 09:16

And the last one, the most horrible of all. A boy told his therapist that his father was sexually abusing him. The therapist told his mother. The court said the boy could have only got this idea because the mother had put it in his head, and that therefore the mother was abusive, so the boy was separated from his mother and the father given full custody. Years later, they found images of the boy being abused on the father’s computer.

How claiming "parental alienation" can protect alleged abusers.

How the 'junk science' of parental alienation infiltrated American family courts and allowed accused child abusers to win custody of their kids.

Oh wow, you found something on the internet to support your view, isnt that something. No one has ever manager that before.

And you dont think I could find a hundred articles on the fact it very real and present?

I apologise if it offends you but yes, for me, she is a ‘walking mattress’. In Alice’s own words, she spends a minimum of 50% of her children’s childhood in bed (also backed up by Ioan’s court testimony too). If she had a terminal disease or any other officially diagnosed chronic disease, I wouldn’t dream of calling her that

she has fibromyalgia which last time I looked is a chronic disease. And please don’t come back with a retort about how she says she has fibromyalgia. It’s hard enough living with unseen, chronic illnesses without that sort of rubbish trotted out by People.

Even harder when people claim to have this and/or ME/CFS and then neck alcohol like it's going out of fashion and make a mockery of those of us who know this is a complete no-no.

THAT behaviour is offensive to fib sufferers (pun intended)

Read all 3 articles and the 2 I posted below. If you think anything published on the internet should be discarded, MN is probably the wrong place to be. “Parental alienation” is junk science that gives succour to abusers.

I just read your post again @Merlin69 and it feels even nastier on a second read. Why go there? You don’t like her, you think she is a malingering child abuser. You’ve made your point. Why do you feel the need to keep going on and on and on? Perhaps give it a rest for a bit?

I’m not contacting Alice to share my opinion so (unless she has a humongous ego and reads here) my opinions on her have no impact on her life whatsoever so thank you for your advice but I won’t be giving it ‘a rest for a bit’ if there’s things I feel I want to say.

Do you think you might need to give it a ‘rest for a bit’ if you can’t stop yourself from offering unsolicited advice when you read criticism of a complete stranger?

For a long time now, those charged with looking after children’s welfare have been aware of parental alienation in family law proceedings.

Christ on a bike, so every separated man is an abuser now, using PA as a way to spite his innocent ex? Can you hear yourself?

I agree its a system that can be taken advantage of, much likes the benefits system, it doesnt mean everyone is bloody doing it.

No, she has diagnosed herself as having fibromyalgia, anyone can self-diagnose but it doesn’t make it true. Alice claims to have gone to nearly a 100 doctors but not one single doctor has diagnosed her with Fibromyalgia. This isn’t the NHS, she’s paying for these specialists and yet they still refuse to diagnose her with that condition.

Someone self diagnosing a chronic illness is what really damages the chronic illness community, especially when this person posts drunk videos as well as a skipping video (which would give Rocky a run for his money when he skipped to train for his fight against Apollo Creed).

For anyone who disputes parental alienation exists, would you like to go on this forum and tell them they’re just making it up?

Except that these articles come from quite reliable sources and focused on evidence based research. They are not from, or endorsed by Tattle or whatever it is called.

You might be right but I genuinely have never seen her say she’s diagnosed herself only that she has it. I assumed she’d been diagnosed by a doctor so apologies if that’s not the case. I agree a self diagnosis doesn’t count.

Honestly no need to apologise, Alice is very good at convincing people to feel sorry for her for some reason or another.

In terms of where she admitted she didn’t have an actual diagnosis, it was on Twitter. She was complaining that her bloodwork kept coming back is all clear and the doctors can’t find out what’s wrong with her.

It’s possible she might have some condition but it’s so wrong of her to self diagnose and then talk about it as fact e.g. people might suspect they have autism or adhd but they don’t go around telling everyone they actually have it until medical professionals diagnose it.

Alice says the onset of her fibromyalgia was after having Ella, the amount of doctors she’s claimed to have seen in 13 years is more than most people in a lifetime (including cancer patients).
Shockingly, Alice has diagnosed Ella with fibromyalgia too

QuintanaRoo · 28/06/2023 11:02

Fibro tends to be a diagnosis of elimination. There’s no blood test, etc for it. So to be honest if other stuff has been ruled out I’d be surprised if a doctor hasn’t diagnosed her with fibromyalgia if she has the symptoms she says she has.

Yes you’d think she’d have a diagnosis by default wouldn’t you. I remember anti-Alice accounts asking her on Twitter why she hasn’t gotten an official diagnosis after seeing so many doctors but she was never able to explain it, her comeback was she knew her body better than they did (which is the truth but it’s not an answer to the questions they asked).

When her Twitter used to be active, Fibromyalgia sufferers would contact her about symptoms and medication and nearly always Alice would say she had suffered those symptoms too or had taken that particular medication but apparently no medication helped her condition ever.

I think a couple of fibro sufferers on Tattle said her claims of certain combinations of medications were a lie because the combinations she claimed to be taking were actually toxic dangerous and would never be prescribed together.

What possessed her her to say Ella had fibro too? She came across as somewhat gleeful in saying it in the sense that it was an indication of how alike she and Ella are.

wayyour · 28/06/2023 11:44

Everything is so literal for you, isn’t it?

Hmm On the contrary. I'm sorry you feel you need to explain yourself, that must be a daily difficulty. It's rather the level of oddness from the emotive, and invested, language you've used throughout the posts that is a bit much. A bit too much. I found some of the anti-Ioan comments quite infantile, also.

It's the level of bats*ttery post I'd rather not engage with. I hope you don't mind my saying I don't want to offend. Grin

None of us know @QuintanaRoo because quite rightly we have no access whatsoever to her medical records. What people put on line doesn't tell the whole story.

I don't give a stuff what you lot think of me because I stand by my point that a lot of you express conjecture and supposition as though it is fact - and it does my head in because I am quite interested in this case and feel that you overwhelm the space with literal takes on everything. AE could say that she had eggs for breakfast and you would say that it's a manipulation of IG in some way. I do acknowledge that she set this up when she had her very public meltdown/breakdown. It would be easier if I joined in your pile-on, but I really don't want to.

I won't be looking in on this thread anymore because it feels so toxic and allowing myself to be dragged into it in this way is self defeating and makes me feel that I am entering a crazy world of made up "facts" and "evidence".

So I am letting you know in advance that you can blast away at me all you like. I won't be responding.
