Just that...how many nights? 1, 2, 3?

One night, Saturday.
Travel there on Saturday morning, travel home Sunday evening. A weekend away.
It'd be nice if Friday night was included in the prize too, but I wouldn't necessarily expect it to be.

2 nights - Fri - Sat, come home Sunday.

Chompiemompie · 17/05/2023 23:48

2 nights

MorrisZapp · 17/05/2023 23:48

Two nights, Friday and Saturday

Two nights, Fri - Sunday. Otherwise it should be described as a night away.

2 nights Friday and Saturday is a weekend.

1 night is just a night away.

At least two nights. One night is a night away, 3 nights is a long weekend, 4 nights is a very long weekend or perhaps a mini-break. Not based on anything, it's just what I would think!

MorrisZapp · 17/05/2023 23:51

One night would mean checking in 3pm and checking back out at 11am the following day. It's less than a day, not in any way a weekend.

TastesLikeStrawberriesOnASummerEvening · 17/05/2023 23:51

Two, one is a night, not a weekend.

DrFoxtrot · 17/05/2023 23:54

I would say two nights, but if I won a prize for one night I wouldn't be disappointed.

Smidge001 · 17/05/2023 23:56

Barleysugar86 · 17/05/2023 23:57

2 nights

Mehmeh22 · 17/05/2023 23:59

Do we get the prize of the 'weekend' for the correct answer?

CrapBucket · 18/05/2023 00:00

Two nights of course. Only a monster would call one night a weekend away.

UsingChangeofName · 18/05/2023 00:01

If I were arranging to "go away for the weekend" then I'd travel on Friday and stay 2 nights, come home late Sunday.

but if a company were trying to get some free advertising by offering a "prize" of a fress weekend away, I'd expect the company to offer the minimum they can get away with, and would expect it to probably be one night. But you can still go on the Sat morning until the Sunday evening and have the 2 days there, and even do it without the Friday night traffic.

PicturesOfDogs · 18/05/2023 00:02

Definitely two. Fri - Sun.

Loub55 · 18/05/2023 00:05

I'd say 2 nights away is a weekend break

Ihatepickingausername3 · 18/05/2023 00:09

I’d have thought two nights but it’s probably one!

MissingMoominMamma · 18/05/2023 00:11

Friday and Saturday night.

notangelinajolie · 18/05/2023 00:11

2 nights Friday & Saturday. Check out Sunday.

SarahDippity · 18/05/2023 00:16

Two nights. If it’s a prize/voucher, usually 2BB or 2BB1D.

tailinthejam · 18/05/2023 00:19

A long weekend is going on Friday and coming back Monday.

So I'd say a weekend away would be going very early on Saturday and coming back late on Sunday.
