921 with 26 councils still to declare.

kirinm · 05/05/2023 18:47

I hope they go over 1000 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Watching that number tick up is quite the most exciting thing happening this weekend.

Has anyone found where our friendly Toryfans are hiding?

I was worried there might be another thread I had missed where they were extolling how its not Rishi's fault because pot plants.

RafaistheKingofClay · 05/05/2023 18:53

938

pointythings · 05/05/2023 18:53

940, it's refreshing so fast now.

DuncinToffee · 05/05/2023 18:54

NEW: Greens now the biggest party on Lewes Council.

ALL 19 Tory Councillors have lost their seats

GREEN 17
LD 15
LAB 9

Hard to overstate what a shellacking across the south east this now is for the Conservatives.

It’s going to exceed 1,000, isn’t it? I’m trying desperately to keep a lid on my excitement.

I’ve been off work unable to move much with an injury for nearly 4 weeks. It’s the most exciting thing to happen in a month.

The poor king. His big day after 70 years and overshadowed by Sunak's meltdown.

RafaistheKingofClay · 05/05/2023 18:58

What was it he said about only 1/4 of results being in and we’ll have to wait and see?

Nat6999 · 05/05/2023 18:39

Ds stood for our local area as Green candidate, he came third with Lib Dem keeping their seat & Labour second, it wasn't a target ward which meant he couldn't go door knocking or a budget for leaflets & posters. He still got 800 votes & beat the Tories who only got 312 votes, for a 19 year old standing for the first time he is quite pleased, his friend who was in a target ward only got 478 votes & came fourth. He will stand again next year & it looks like it will be a target ward.

Well done your ds. I've loved watching all the young people standing locally here. Whatever their politics I admire them for wanting to get involved and forge change. They are the future of our country and I think they are the ones who should be forging their future.

I'm waiting and liking what I am seeing alright.

I'm actually getting quite scarily excited.

That’s the feeling you get when Greg Hands makes himself look like a twat. Wonder how he’s feeling about the 1000.

I'm worried for the level of excitement at the GE next year.

My council hasn't declared yet but it's going to be a Lib Dem hold

Well done to your ds @Nat6999. Putting his money where his mouth is!

I keep thinking the GE election will be fascinating. But will be emotionally too involved. Still have strong memories of pouring drinks at my parents 1992 election night party (was supposed to be a celebration) and my legs going to jelly with the advent of the BBC exit poll. 😞

Piggywaspushed · 05/05/2023 19:11
