Behaviour that annoys you at the airport

Have taken refuge in a bar now but what behaviour annoys you at the airport?

My top 2:

People who walk passed the multiple signs at Heathrow telling them about the rules on liquids (written and pictorially) and express outrage when said liquids get confiscated or they spend ages already at the conveyor belt digging out all of their little bottles.

On the otherside of security the people who, instead of moving their tray to the little cubicles designed for the purpose, they stand at the exit to the baggage scanner putting on shoes, belts, watches etc causing a backlog through the people scanner.

@Dinopawus yes you've reminded me I have an airport parking moan as well.
I book and pay in advance, but every single time we try to leave the car park ( generally tired after traveling) the damn thing tries to charge us the walk in amount and I have to dig around for the original booking reference for the intercom before they let us out.
It always gives me the fear that maybe I haven't booked after all.

Alcoholics at 7am guzzling drinks because they think being at an airport makes it socially acceptable. And knowing they are then going to be sitting on a plane for however long and end up feeling really rough at the start of their holiday. And then drinking throughout the holiday and come home hungover and feeling worse than before they left and barely remembering it though a haze of booze. Sad.

Why can't people do anything without alcohol? Horrible.

I like to drink, but there's no way I'd be doing it in the morning. I rarely drink in the afternoon, last Christmas, after I'd done the lunch, I had one when I was eating, at 3pm. My family were all drinking from about 10am!

@HeyDemonsItsYaGirl ha ha. That gives you an idea of how bad Manchester Airport is then.

Whole families crowded round the luggage conveyer thingy

It only needs one to stand there and then everyone could get a look at the bags.

Some quite specific ones as I'm visually impaired.

I'm a white cane user in busy environments. Trying to navigate an airport is made 10x harder by people who let their children run about, or who need L plates on their wheely cases. Then give ME filthy looks if I accidentally bump into them, trip on their bag or their child nearly runs into me.

Automatic passport gates - I cannot remove my glasses and still see the screen thing. I can't use them and hate them. Just let me talk to a person.

I pre-board as I don't want to discuss my disability with the cabin crew around eavesdroppers and starers. I'm not a sideshow, thanks. Get on early, explain what I can/can't see, what I may need help with, with a tiny bit of privacy. Have to say, crew are usually amazing. Have had some great conversations with cabin crew and pilots alike while waiting for assistance at the end of a flight.

Security searching me every time I've flown alone and used special assistance. Didn't happen when I flew with my friend in October.

Airlines not passing on special assistance requests to the airport, so they're not expecting me and I end up feeling like an inconvenience.

I fly in 2 weeks - thankfully with my friend so at least some of these things won't be an issue.

Drives me mad when people stand right next to the luggage rack and block the way - even when your luggage has appeared and theirs hasn't yet, and you're obviously trying to heave it off the rack past them, they won't move.
