Have you been to a drinking establishment no one else has?

I'll start:

Raffles in Singapore
Casablancas in Liverpool (the one with the chippy in the basement)
The Underground in Croydon

I think Student Unions don't count because you have to be signed in. But the Oxford and Cambridge both on campus at Liverpool would have counted.

I was never signed in - I did a project with some undergrads during my postgraduate medical training and frequently met them at the bar! I just wandered in purposefully - nobody ever checked if I was a student! I was 28 at the time! I also gatecrashed the Merton College Time Ceremony in Oxford by looking purposeful (as purposeful as one can look when walking backwards).

The Absintherie, Prague, for an absinthe mojito.

The Grenadier, London, hard to find.

The Strawberry Thief, Bristol. Lovely William Morris decor, lots of dark wood, feels like being in Belgium.

I used to go to The Grenadier quite a lot in my 20's as my housemate really loved that area and aspired to live there. Had no chance poor love.

Theres probably places nearer to the UK that are easier to get to, but I would be up for it!

I grew up in Stirling. Did a lot of underage drinking in the Meadowpark!

The Temple, Manchester used to be old public toilets 😂had a few cracking nights in there. The Manxman, Preston a nightclub on a boat docked in the harbour and now I am showing my age. I am quite sure that it would not meet health and safety standards these days!
