I've been to the Hi-B Cork too (used to live there)

What about 'The Stack of Barley' in Castlemartyr, Co.Cork - when me and DH were v broke towards the end of the month, we used to eat (and drink!) there as he still had those old card machines with the carbon copy paper and it would take him a couple of weeks to get the money from our account !

Hurrah, I'm glad it's not just me who's suffered that particular den of iniquity! I only went once; we had an encounter with the police afterwards that put me off ever going out drinking in Moscow again (although thankfully all turned out well). We were naive 20 year olds, I shudder to think what could have happened.

@AlphaAlpha I've been to the George Canning in Camberwell.

We went for a quiet Sunday afternoon drink and there was a couple who were so pissed whem they left, they fell in to a pile of builders sand left by the kerb and just laid there howling with laughter and throwing sand at people.

Been to Buza bar in Dubrovnik and the Cock at Broom (the pub with no bar) a few times with my Dad. He reckoned that back in the day they had a perpetual stew that was added to and served each day for years...
