Nicest/not nice celebs.

1000 replies

bazzabas · 10/03/2023 11:58

Who is the nicest celeb you've met?

On the flip side who was not nice?

I had a friend who met Girl's Aloud after she won a competition.

They waited hours to met them, waiting for them to arrive.

Apparently Nadine was lovely, chatted and genuinely seemed interested to meet them.

Sarah & Nicola not so nice, very mardy and diva-ish.

Aw poor Sarah died, no need to say something mean about her.

I'm not saying anything mean. Just because someone died doesn't mean you can't say what actually happened.

Wasn’t even you though, it was your friend.

So who knows how it really was

SinnerBoy · 10/03/2023 12:04

Geoffrey Hughes (Onslow in "Keeping up Appearances) was really nice.

Jimmy Nail was a top of the range arse.

GoodChat · 10/03/2023 12:05

"Mardy and diva-ish" is mean.

Lampzade · 10/03/2023 12:05

Heather Small from M people. Not nice at all

Poor taste though.

Just waiting for Anthony Head to show up as the nicest as he always does on these threads!

I’ve met Pete Doherty, he was wasted but very sweet.

Miquita Oliver was very rude and snobby.

MaggieMagpie357 · 10/03/2023 12:07

Michael Palin is exactly how you'd expect him to be - warm, friendly and an all round lovely person.

Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen is also exactly how you'd expect - an arse. Also MUCH shorter than think he'd be.

Littlegoth · 10/03/2023 12:08

Jonathan Ross and Paddy Considine were lovely.

Ross was very friendly and down to earth. I met him at a film soundtrack performance and he queued up with everyone else to meet the band and get his stuff signed.

Paddy Considine was at a film convention (as a fan, not as a guest) and was more than happy to pose for pictures despite being off duty and incognito. We didn’t blow his cover 😂

SinnerBoy · 10/03/2023 12:09

Robbie Coltrane was a boisterous and engaging raconteur and also a right shortarse!

PiggyPlumPie · 10/03/2023 12:12

Kenny Dalglish and hus wife were really lovely when we interrupted his coffee.

DD was graduating and he was getting an honorary doctorate. She is a huge Liverpool fan and it made her day.

TheFlis12345 · 10/03/2023 12:16

I meet quite a few celebs through work, most are absolutely lovely. I won’t name too many as it would be outing to anyone who knows me but Phil Spencer, AJ Odudu, Rylan and JLS stand out in my mind as being particularly nice and down to earth.

Mistressofnone · 10/03/2023 12:19

Kate Garraway was just the loveliest. Always makes time to speak to everyone.

Paul Ross was a bit rude or maybe it was just a weird sense of humour.

Cheeseandlobster · 10/03/2023 12:21

Ooh I am going to enjoy this thread.
I arranged insurance for Bobby Davro, Michael Elphick and Wendy Richards. All we lovely.

As an annoying child I accosted Sylvester Mcoy outside a London theatre chanting that I knew he was really Doctor Who. He was very patient

Thinkwicebeforeyouleavemylife · 10/03/2023 12:22

Phil Collins is an absolute arse

deflatedbirthday · 10/03/2023 12:22

I shared a pizza with Bez from the Happy Mondays once. Lovely guy... completely off his face mind

I've actually heard this before.

I can imagine that Kate is just like this. She has a real genuine aura about her.

Wayne Sleep was absolutely lovely, complete luvvie of course darling!

Mufflette · 10/03/2023 12:28

Of those I've worked with, Ralf Little and Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley from Corrie) stand out as being great, Robert Webb as being not - 3 days on set and he wouldn't even say hello in passing to anyone but the director. Even ignored the super cute dog he was sharing a scene with. The dog was lovely.

Rebel2 · 10/03/2023 12:31

Phil Spencer was lovely. Polite and thanked me lots

Maktoums - racing. Found out I loved horses when I was a child, said he had "a few" horses and invited me for a tour with my mum
Neither of us realised who he was until we got to the yard and my mums mouth dropped open at how amazing it was. Let us look round for a full day with staff to look after us and was the most insane experience

VeronicaBeccabunga · 10/03/2023 12:38

Ricky Gervais has a house locally and is known for smiling and nodding at anyone he passes [me included!] and making a huge fuss of any dog he meets so I think he's a good 'un.

Movinghouseatlast · 10/03/2023 12:43

David Walliams is very unpleasant unless you are famous.

I've always thought to myself that he's not as nice as he seems.
