Nicest/not nice celebs.

bazzabas · 10/03/2023 11:58

Who is the nicest celeb you've met?

On the flip side who was not nice?

I had a friend who met Girl's Aloud after she won a competition.

They waited hours to met them, waiting for them to arrive.

Apparently Nadine was lovely, chatted and genuinely seemed interested to meet them.

Sarah & Nicola not so nice, very mardy and diva-ish.

James Corden always gets the same responses on these threads and I've also seen two or three threads on Reddit where everybody said the exact same thing!

Bit surprised about Alan Davies, I saw him once at Highbury. Glad I didn't approach him, I knew he was a season ticket holder

Only famous person I've spoken to is Dion Dublin and he was very nice. I've seen famous people but don't approach them

I was at a funeral. My friend and I went into the pub next to the church after the service along with lots of others.. My friend popped to the loo so I started talking to a lady standing alone... A man who was with the lady walked up thrust his hand out and said "Hello I'm Dion.." I didn't know the man so I introduced myself. My friend appeared and we made our excuses and went to get a drink... All the men at the bar were talking about how ex Norwich player Dion Dublin was in the pub!!

momtoboys · 20/03/2023 13:56

@MouseKeys thank you so much for confirming what I have thought all along - that Alison Janney and Richard Schiff would be lovely. As a West Wing fanatic I am certain that if I were to meet Bradley Whitford I would babble and humiliate myself. LOL

MooseBreath · 20/03/2023 15:26

Am I the only one who comes to these threads and spends the vast majority of the time thinking "I have no idea who that is"?

Nellieinthebarn · 20/03/2023 15:53

@MooseBreath no you're not, I am googleing these people and nine times out of ten, I'm none the wiser. Its making me feel very old and out of touch.

TheGander · 20/03/2023 17:56

I’m in my 50s and those people who have mostly built a career off the back of social media, influencers etc are unknown to me and I can’t be bothered to keep up.

MrsOnions248 · 20/03/2023 18:33

I met the guy who played Neville Longbottom in a bar in Leeds. Me & my friends were a little drunk, and he was much nicer to us than we deserved! Very sweet guy.

Britinme · 20/03/2023 18:36

Neville Longbottom has grown up a great deal more good looking than you'd think from his appearance in the Potter movies.

I never knew Dion Dublin as a footballer but I do like him on Homes under the Hammer.

Same here. Dion, Martel and Martin are all very likeable presenters.

limitedperiodonly · 20/03/2023 19:46

I like it when they send Dion Dublin into houses with really low ceilings and he takes it well. Maybe most houses have low ceilings if you're Dion Dublin.

JMSA · 20/03/2023 23:53

I love his cheesy jokes and puns Grin

JMSA · 20/03/2023 23:53

And agree that he comes across really well Smile

Castleontheisland · 21/03/2023 03:30

I used to work in theatres in my younger days, and meet quite a good few stars. The one person who sticks in my mine for being so foul was Jim Davidson 🙄 in such a bad mood and rude to people all of the time! Horrible man!. He took great pleasure out of being awful to people.

katseyes7 · 21/03/2023 10:06

Castleontheisland My ex worked in tv/theatre, his mate 'B' manages/runs three theatres. He told me that Jim Davidson once turned up at his mate's theatre and was so vile to the crew setting up the stage that B told him he had two choices - either apologise and be civil for the duration of the show, or he could leave.
Except he didn't put it as politely as that.
He's worked with a hell of a lot of people over the years, and said Davidson was the worst by a country mile.
Apparently he 'apologised' (after a fashion) and the show went ahead. I think it was a relatively long run, and he'd have lost a lot of money if the manager had pulled the plug.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 21/03/2023 10:23

Jim Davidson a rude, arrogant, nasty piece of work towards anybody he perceives as beneath him?

Next thing, we'll be having somebody who works in wardrobe exclusively revealing that Mark Labbett and Warwick Davis don't go halfsies on their suits!

He comes across that way in his autobiography so nice to have it confirmed Smile

LlynTegid · 13/04/2023 17:45

Met a man in a restaurant in Bordeaux in 2019, we spoke about what I had visited in the area and liked.

Tomorrow he is one of the people deciding whether or not Mr Macron's reforms have been passed according to the French constitution. Former French Prime Minister Alain Juppe.

Delighted to read this, but not at all surprised. He just seems like such a lovely guy.

I dunno. He wasn't very kind about Rosalind... 🤔😂

(Hoping someone gets the reference...)

I've just remembered that my adult DD went out with a large group of friends in London recently and Tom Felton (Malfoy) joined them. She said he was also lovely.
