I find it extraordinary that anyone with legal training can seriously claim that they believe the boats policy is rational, let alone lawful. They're effectively saying "We will make it impossible for genuine refugees from certain countries to apply for asylum in advance, if they turn up we will therefore declare them illegal immigrants for failing to do what we have made impossible, and we will detain them before deporting them".
Braverman really deserves to be struck off as a barrister, and it should have happened when she was proclaiming equally unlawful views as Attorney General.
