The audience on the whole for this QT was excellent. One guy in particular nailed it.

I'd like to buy him a pint too!

The BBC are not so subtly taking every opportunity to repeat the content of GL’s tweet. They have also chosen to use the photo of Braverman by the railings with 2 strategically placed as horns on her head Grin

Blossomtoes · 10/03/2023 08:06

Bet she hates this one - in the Telegraph of all places.

Braverman is now saying that the European court is at odds with British values.

Wait till she finds out whose ideas and values the ECHR was based on.

IClaudine · 10/03/2023 10:12

Is she really that thick?

Oh, I do hope that one really bites her in the bum. Dissing Churchill, what next?

Is she really that thick?

Of course she is. That's been obvious ever since she became AG, let alone Home Secretary.

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 10/03/2023 11:03

If your values don't align with a specialist court set up to ensure something like the Holocaust never happens again then you need to reassess your fucking values. She makes me so bloody angry.

Some people seem to be more exercised about what Gary Linekar said, and that RSE is taught in schools.

jgw1 · 10/03/2023 11:41

Good news.

The UK is going to give France a reported £200million because Brexit means taking control of our borders.

Note that there is still no money to give teachers a pay rise.

DuncinToffee · 10/03/2023 11:51

Europe's far right praise UK's illegal migrant bill

This. Her values are not mine.

It's even better for France

UK will contribute £479 million to France over three years in a big increase in money to help it curb small boats crossing the Channel

DuncinToffee · 10/03/2023 15:14

WTAF

The BBC has decided not to broadcast an episode of David Attenborough’s flagship new series on British wildlife because of fears its themes of the destruction of nature would risk a backlash from Tory politicians and the rightwing press

Piggywaspushed · 10/03/2023 15:19

I'm telling you, it will not be long before we are not allowed 'biased' programmes on Climate Change, slavery, the Holocaust...

countrygirl99 · 10/03/2023 15:24

WTAF that's appalling

IClaudine · 10/03/2023 15:32

So they will show it on iplayer but not on terrestrial TV. That is pathetic.

Maybe we should all make a complaint?

Eve · 10/03/2023 15:38

did I see this shared here - apologies if it was here already.

More winning for France - A French company has won the contract for post-Brexit border checks.

I shared that on the Brexit thread, France is doing really well out of controlling our borders.

No wonder Macron was hugging Sunak

I'm going to complain.

My DD has just whatsapped to me saying this...
Every time I read the news I get one step closer to joining Extinction Rebellion. TV censorship combined with stripping away the right to protest. Very authoritarian.
Stating the fact is now apparently too political !
Trying to censor Linkekar is one thing but David Attenborough? Seriously?????

She has nailed it, and she isn't even the political child. The other one is and will be furious when she comes back from holiday!

Will the BBC have a word with Fiona Bruce

Fiona Bruce's role with a domestic abuse charity has been challenged after a comment about Stanley Johnson on Question Time

1/ Nothing warms the cockles more than a voter intention poll, we think. Hardly a blizzard of change this week, but Labour has hit the 50% mark yet again:

🔴 Lab: 50% (+5)
🔵 Con: 26% (NC)
🟠 LD: 7% (-4)
🟡 SNP: 4% (NC)
⚪ Ref: 6% (NC)
🟢 Green: 5% (-1)

6/ The Conservatives set out their 5 key priorities. We asked people to rank which should be the main focus:

📝 76% Cut NHS waiting lists
📈 71% Grow the economy
📉 69% Halve inflation
💷 50% Reduce debt
🛶 33% Stop the boats

(results are a summary of ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd)

I didn't realise it's ok to break your wife's nose as long as it's only once. I'll have a word with DW to see if she minds.

It wouldn't have been just once.
It never is.
