He took a dump...

Just met sister's new boyfriend (both in 50s so not kids) for the first time. She brought him to my house and within 20 mins he's upstairs having a dump in our only bathroom. Left soon after, leaving me to clean the skid marks and open the window.

I don't know why but I'm mad as hell. I know sometimes you have to go, so im probably being unfair but I feel really cheesed off. Like he's "marked his territory" my home somehow.

I'm being daft aren't I.

I would have rung the sister (hoping that she had the call on speaker phone) and told her that he was a grubby bastard who doesn’t clean up after himself. Yuck!

I've come to realise that an interesting aspect of women who love men is that they really don't seem to mind poor hygiene.

Oh, we really, really do. We just stay single and enjoy the clean house.

I knew this thread would be full of "man uses toilet for its intended purpose - shocker!" posts but clearly the issue is that he left his shit all over the bowl and didn't open the window. That's really disrespectful.

I have IBS so I get that when you have to go, you have to go but I would never, ever leave a mess in someone else's toilet.

“Marked his territory “ - wtf?? 😂😂
Hold the front page. “Man performs normal bodily function”

As for “I can't think of any man I'd want to be with who does this. Just horrible”. Again . WTF

This place is comedy gold sometimes

Agree.

But he should have cleaned up after himself.

Yes!

catfunk · 27/02/2023 11:35

He might have a bowel issue and not be able to wait. Would you rather he shat himself ?

He definitely should have cleaned up though.

TorviShieldMaiden · 27/02/2023 14:55

@Goodread1 but the "round the hand with toilet paper" doesn't work if the skids are below the water line! I still don't understand how anyone gets rid of these without a brush?

mathanxiety · 27/02/2023 17:52

@ReadersD1gest - when I was selling my house we returned from hiding out in the car after viewers had been through it with their agent, only to find a nice big turd floating in the main bathroom loo.

I practically hosed the bathroom down with bleach.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 27/02/2023 18:41

Only on MN is it considered an act of terror and aggression for somebody to have a poo in a toilet!

With some people, you'd think it was an optional occasional hobby and not a normal bodily function with which you're sometimes unavoidably touching cloth in quite a hurry.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 27/02/2023 18:42

You can get modern toilets with an in-built flush function these days!

peanutbutters · 27/02/2023 18:58

Reminds me of my ex father in law. They were staying at ours and we had both gone to work. I came home with my friend on our lunch break and she went to the toilet. Ex FIL then tells me he'd done a shit that wouldn't flush and had left it until he next went up.. which my mate found. Envy your sister's boyfriend might just have been dying for the toilet though, had they been out all day prior? Just text her and say tell your boyfriend he's left bloody skid marks the dirty bastard!

Bad hygiene is an absolute turn off from the get go.

Haha, yes (and it took two flushes) but there was a lingering stench and it was too chilly outside to leave the window open. So bleach it had to be. I also took all the towels and threw them into the washing machine.
