Does he want to leave his seat ??

Does he want to leave his seat ??

I don't think he's declared his intentions.

I don't think he's a huge Johnson fan though - from his wiki page -

At the Conservative Party Conference in 2017, he was quoted by the Henley Standard as saying: "My message to Boris is to keep his bloody mouth shut!" regarding Johnson's demand that the post-Brexit transition should last "not a second longer" than two years.[17] A year later, at the party conference in 2018, when Theresa May was reportedly being undermined by Johnson, The Guardian reported Howell as saying: "As far as I'm concerned Boris can just fuck off."[18]
Grin that said I'm sure he can be offered a seat in the Lords...

Piggywaspushed · 18/02/2023 13:39

Ha! He sounds fun.

Well, if he is instead parachuted into Nadine's old constituency, he will still live closer to it than she ever did.

Roussette · 18/02/2023 16:01

He said a while back that he would definitely be standing for Uxbridge again. But this is BJ so obviously he's lying and he's going to be standing in Howell's seat. I think we can safely say that, given he does the opposite of what he actually says

Apparently the new gaff with the moat is supposed to be a 'forever home'. I wonder how many times he promised that to each of his three wives....

DuncinToffee · 18/02/2023 17:38

'forever home' Grin

Maybe Carrie is paying, she would be wise to secure the home.

How is Boris' no border in the Irish Sea going?

Notonthestairs · 18/02/2023 18:24

Come now, he deserves another crack at reading and understanding the protocol - he was far too busy to read it whilst he was in office.
He can flick through it on his next holiday.

DuncinToffee · 18/02/2023 18:27

He is still alive isn't he
There will be no border down the Irish Sea… over my dead body'

I also wonder how many people tried to phone him when they had to complete customs declarations

'If somebody asks to do that, tell them to ring up the prime minister and I will direct them to throw that form in the bin'

At least he got to go to Katmandu or was it Kyiv or Kabul (these foreign places all look the same to me) so as not to lie down in front of the third runaway at Heathrow.

I don't know what agreement Sunak & the EU have reached. I hope it's something that pleases the majority people in NI, makes life easier for all and protects the GFA.

But whatever else I would put money on Sunak at the very least as having read & understood it. There won't be any videos of a drunk & garrulous Sunak proclaiming crap.

Which is more than can be said of 🤡

“Boris Johnson has warned Rishi Sunak that ditching the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill in favour of a new Brexit deal would be a “great mistake”.”

A timely intervention from the former PM.

Sunak must not cave. The EU and ECJ must be kicked out of NI."

Johnson has learned nothing from the last few years. Disloyal & attention seeking. He's repeating the tactics he used to unseat May. Talking about "caving" rather than reaching a mutual practical arrangement.

Sunak should tell him to sit down & shut up whilst they clean up his mess.

Brilliant post.

I think Johnson's more concerned about saving face and being proven right than what's best.

I'm not a fan of current government but I'm all for them trying to improve things as that's not something we've seen so far. And even better if for once they're willing to admit what they did was a mistake rather than make things worse to avoid having to accept that.

Johnson is proving to be far more arrogant than I ever imagined.

Lonelycrab · 19/02/2023 11:13

The endless, ongoing saga of Tory against Tory, treating it all like some game of musical chairs for no10. Four different PMs if bunter returns, all in the space of one parliament, god knows how many chancellors we’re on now. Is it any wonder they’re not actually governing, they can’t even govern themselves.

Thesharkradar · 19/02/2023 11:43

He has no boundaries and no morals whatsoever, hopefully this means he's also surrounding himself with sycophants and his lack of self-awareness will be his undoing🤷

DuncinToffee · 19/02/2023 11:47

He wants to be world king.

If Sunak wasn't so weak he would have kicked Johnson out of the party by now.

I really don't think anyone cares about whether Johnson had some cake while he was in Downing Street.
I do not understand why remoaners keep going on about it.
Johnson will win the next election, the people love him, he got Brexit done, he is a man of his word.
And anyway Keir had a beer and what did the police do about that.
Who would want to vote for Jeremy Corbyn anyway?
Boris knows what a woman is and how to treat them and so he has my vote.

Notonthestairs · 19/02/2023 13:00

DuncinToffee · 19/02/2023 11:59

This isn't getting a lot of press coverage at the moment although I guess there isn't a lot to report yet - but it's going to end up being incendiary in one way or another.
Either it will look like a whitewash or Tory MPs will have to find a bit of backbone. Either way he's dragging them all down to his level.

Are you for real? Are you really a Boris Johnson supporter or is this satire?

To be fair, that one was perilously close to sounding a credible post from some renowned posters.
