Such as "Give my head a wobble" and "Holibobs", neither of which I have ever heard IRL.

kitcat15 · 11/01/2023 23:23

Hill to die on

kitcat15 · 11/01/2023 23:23

…..or not die on

Greatly · 11/01/2023 23:24

Vile

TheShellBeach · 11/01/2023 23:26

Get your ducks in a row.
Never heard that IRL either.

Holibobs becomes that much less annoying when you have a holiday booked in imminently

dolor · 11/01/2023 23:28

It's the "D" before everything that does me in. Just say mother/son/daughter/husband etc, it's not like they're too many letters long now is it?

Largethighsbadeyes · 11/01/2023 23:29

"Fuck off to the far side of fuck"

What? Irritates me every time

Chocoholic1972 · 11/01/2023 23:30

Fucking 'game changer' I hate it 😡

Largethighsbadeyes · 11/01/2023 23:31

Picky bits 🤮
Hubby

watcherintherye · 11/01/2023 23:31

I hate HTH, tacked on to the end of a pa post.

I actually used “there, fixed it for you!” irl the other day.

SLS500 · 11/01/2023 23:31

Makes my teeth itch
Boils my piss

TheShellBeach · 11/01/2023 23:31

DuplicateUserName · 11/01/2023 23:32

"Did you mean to be so rude?"

Well yes of course. Did you mean to be so dim that you couldn't see that? 😯

TheShellBeach · 11/01/2023 23:32

SLS500 · 11/01/2023 23:31

Makes my teeth itch
Boils my piss

Argh. Yes to both of those.

You forgot “and then fuck off some more”! Grin

Never heard that IRL either.

This is one of those annoying bullshit bingo corporate phrases. Everyone at work is always getting their ducks in a row. Poor fucking ducks, no freedom to roam.

Daydre4mer · 11/01/2023 23:33

Also (I know this makes me seem uncaring ) but:

”You sound lovely” to usually the original poster.

DuplicateUserName · 11/01/2023 23:33

Most of these aren't really 'Mumsnet' phrases though, a lot of them are used on so many other forums.

SquashPenguin · 11/01/2023 23:34

Hubby. That’s the worst word ever created.

And stop with the ‘D’ in front of everything. Barely takes a second to write the full word.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates this phrase, it’s so bloody patronising.

I've never seen them elsewhere.
Maybe I need to get out more.
