What's your Christmas first world problem?

Three supermarkets and not one of them had normal mince pies. They all had something dodgy added like icing, frangipani, marzipan, brandy butter or some other weirdness. I may write to my mp.

I've had to eat a full packet of red cabbage out of the freezer in order to make way for Yorkshire puddings.

The abdominal pains have stopped now 😂

Having too much chocolate. Can't resist it.

I overestimated the size of our DIY crackers and now the gifts that I bought for my DM’s and DSis’s crackers won’t fit!

the fridge and freezer are full…. But I don’t have any thing for tea as it’s all Christmas food

I only need 4 Christmas crackers so why do they have to come in packs of six?

My dh keeps going shopping and I have to find (temporary) homes for all this Christmas gubbins.

My Tesco delivery failed to provide Yorkshire puddings. I think @stbrandonsboat must have my share....

Tesco was sold out of camembert.... I had to buy a different melty cheese to put in the oven Christmas night to dip bread in

Marks and Spencer did not have my preferred flavours of crisps (those sale and black pepper combo thingies) so I had to make do with a perfectly acceptable alternative

I’ve just received a selfridges hamper containing brandy butter with a 10 month lifespan but I was planning on using the Fortnums brandy butter from last year which only has two months left on it..

I didn’t order enough boxes of handmade truffles, so I can’t keep one for myself like I usually do.

I cannot find a trifle ANYWHERE within a 5 mile radius!

I might actually have to buy a pack of eggs to make some more mince pies because our hens are barely laying with the reduced sunlight.

@Lubli456 - can you freeze brandy butter?

Mum and I placed a joint online shop for the last few food bits. My step dad came to collect their stuff, but I have no idea what's I actually ordered so may or may not have sent them the right things. (And I couldn't check with my mum as she was doing a 4hour+ drive and back again to visit her Dad who's just had a hip replacement)
Not the end of the world as I'm going there on Christmas Day but need to not eat her cheese on Christmas Eve.

So much food piled up in the supermarket tonight, it was gross ... and so many people out there struggling. What happens to all the waste?

Booths had no Truefood bread sauce so I’m going to have to make do with Waitrose sourdough bread sauce instead ☹️

I left it too late to buy chocolate coins for my kids' stockings and now I can't find any.

I bought some nibbles to take to work on Christmas Day. And my manger said if we give her the receipt, she can claim it back. I didn't take a receipt!

I haven’t iced the Christmas cake, or purchased crackers, or got my DH anything apart from pants. I’m not really feeling Christmas this year!

My husband got the wrong peas 😭

I forgot to buy myself a fancy new apron. I am actually gutted.
