What's your Christmas first world problem?

Three supermarkets and not one of them had normal mince pies. They all had something dodgy added like icing, frangipani, marzipan, brandy butter or some other weirdness. I may write to my mp.

I had the lurgy last week, it has now settled on my chest and set off my very stable asthma. Could I get into the doctor since Monday? Could I fuck.Im struggling like mad. The house is a tip and dds bf arrives from furrin tomorrow, IF he can get a train from Newcastle. I’ve not prepped the ham or anything.
So what does dh decide to do on his only day off? Reorganise his cd collection. (Yes he has a problem and intervention will be happening.

I was most disappointed when I pulled out the second bottle of wine from my free christmas hamper from work to discover it was white rather than red. I'm having port instead.

Husband dropped the cream I went out at 7am for this morning and hasnt been to the shops to replace it because we now have 2 DCs down with a vomiting bug. So at this rate I’m not sure Christmas Day will happen if DH and I get it too.

I thought I had ordered a cooked ham to be delivered. Must have cocked it up as no order went through. Bought one today but it has to be cooked and I just don't have the energy to do it.

I’ve just received a selfridges hamper containing brandy butter with a 10 month lifespan but I was planning on using the Fortnums brandy butter from last year which only has two months left on it..

Freeze the new brandy butter for the last 3 months running up to next Christmas 👍

I finished my Christmas food shopping yesterday. We are going to MIL for Christmas tea at 3:15pm - not a moment sooner mind. This has been arranged for months and she asked that I bring some nice ham which I have bought and it's in the fridge. Hubby has just said she wants now wants us to bring a whole bunch of other stuff like pavlova, cheese cake, sliced cheese, bananas with no spots on them etc. So now I have to go to the supermarket tomorrow when I was just going to chill all dayHmm

Why can’t DH go?

I don't like the wrapping paper I used to wrap Santa's gifts. On the roll I really liked it, but en mass, it looks too gaudy.

Goose fat didn't show up on our delivery, went to the shop no goose fat, brought some goose fat roast potatoes plan on freezing them until I can get a jar and using the goose fat packet in there for homemade ones Christmas Day 🙈😂

I always leave it too late to get a tin of Celebrations, as I hate the little card and plastic packs they sell. This year was no exception, and I can't find a tin anywhere now, for love nor money.

M & S have discontinued their prawn shell crisps, Skips really are not the same. They have also committed the cardinal sin of removing the foil wrappers from their chocolate teacakes so I can no longer eat them the way I always have and then screw the foil wrapper up and throw it at my Dad. Christmas is the only time I buy food at M & S so this is an absolute abomination

My boiler broke today. Luckily my DH is gas trained and can fix it but not unless the part arrives tomorrow.

Thank fuck I am getting my hair done tomorrow in an actual hairdressers not at home.

My sister whom we are going to on Sunday has a leak in her conservatory where the dining table is. Started to leak today.

My fridge is making take off noises.

Nothing we can do about any of it right now so it is what it is.

Can't find the Christmas tablecloth - messaged my mum as had a vague recollection of her saying she'd take it home to wash last year (god knows why, I have a perfectly good washing machine!) - yes she did and sorry no never brought it back. They live 100 miles away and are visiting my sister 200 miles away 🙄.
