Crackers for cheese Swapped with Ritz crackers

NotToBeOrToBe · 20/12/2022 20:51

Nope, due tomorrow but I ordered things that go in the freezer or long lasting tins/jars etc weeks ago.

MintyGreenDreams · 20/12/2022 20:52

@mrsmarmalade12 that's really bad, which supermarket?

OP posts:
Greensleevevssnotnose · 20/12/2022 20:52

Got everything but 4 substitutions which was just for a different size eg 2kg os sugar instead of 1 and 450g of biscuits instead of 250. This was a regular order with a few treats, big order is Saturday

gothmothtime · 20/12/2022 20:53

My huge Tesco shop was delivered today, only 2 subs!

MintyGreenDreams · 20/12/2022 20:54

Sainsburys.

Everything had long dates on.

No subs. Nothing missing. Everything packed really well and protected.

(Usually we get silly subs and things get damaged easily!)

Was v impressed!

DrSmoot · 20/12/2022 20:58

My order last week from Asda had 6 subs so I’m not expecting my full shopping tomorrow, but we won’t starve.

mrsmarmalade12 · 20/12/2022 20:59

Mine was for Tesco

wibblewobbleball · 20/12/2022 21:02

Aldi today. All special Christmas pre-prepared food present with good dates. Missing with no subs: Prosecco, several types of cheese truckles, parsnips, eggs, clementines, ice cream and diced beef. I use Aldi once a month for a large
Click and collect order and usually get only one or two subs if any. I was a bit shocked at the amount missing today especially as my pick up slot was 5pm so they've had all day for deliveries to come in.

DelilahBucket · 20/12/2022 21:02

Ocado today only one item missing, a cooked meats platter. Further shop coming from Sainsbury's on Saturday morning. Previous years have always had the basics covered but I suspect things may be different this year. That said, a lot of their Christmas products have suddenly gone on offer so I think they are struggling to sell the stock.

itsgettingweird · 20/12/2022 21:05

It's due tomorrow at 11!

Ds will be at work tomorrow and a friends Thursday so I'm looking forward to what I get and have time to get alternatives the next few days if when needed.

JustAJokeLikeOnTopGear · 20/12/2022 21:07

Last year I got blueberries instead of cranberries 😁. I wonder what Thursday’s delivery will bring.

bluechameleon · 20/12/2022 21:11

Just had Happy eggs instead of organic eggs, everything else was there. I also got 2 pineapples jnstead of 1 but that was my error rather than theirs, and I decided to keep them because everyone likes pineapple.

Theraffarian · 20/12/2022 21:25

Slightly sulking as I had my normal food delivery today and the only Pre Christmas extra on it was a fancy Yule Log that they didn’t send or substitute.

Was going to do the traditional mad dash into the local supermarket Friday before work for last minute fruit veg etc , but I popped in today while passing and they had a lot of coleslaw type things missing , so I’m considering doing M & S instead in the hope they will be better stocked .

CakeCrumbs44 · 20/12/2022 21:29

I was a bit shocked at the amount missing today especially as my pick up slot was 5pm so they've had all day for deliveries to come in

However they've also had loads of customers in all day stripping the shelves, and probably not a lot of time to put deliveries out as staff will be needed on the tills and they don't want to block up the aisles with delivery pallets when it's busy.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 20/12/2022 21:48

I'll tell you tomorrow when it'a arrived between 5pm and 6pm...ASDA don't let me down

Quirrelsotherface · 20/12/2022 21:49

Ocado..one sub, entirely suitable sub. Was fully expecting my Rodney reindeer baked alaska to be out of stock but no, there he was! So pleased with them this year.

AHelpfulHand · 20/12/2022 21:50

Oh god you lot are making me nervous!

my slot is on Christmas Eve with Ocado. Never done a Christmas shop with them before

TeddyTed · 20/12/2022 21:51

Not bad today (Sainsbury’s) but I ordered a tub of Quality Street, and they contacted us to say they didn’t have any tubs, so sent two bags of QS instead. I thought all the supermarkets were choc full 😂 of tubs of chocolates just now! 🎄

TheChosenTwo · 20/12/2022 21:52

Ocado, coming Thursday. Shit cheese selection but I’ve only looked in the past couple of days and not 3 months in advance (when I secured the slot) so my mistake and absolutely no complaints. Other than horseradish root (out of stock) and no all butter puff pastry (just cos it’s bloody hard to get anywhere ever), I managed to get everything I need. Let’s see what turns up I suppose 😂 they’re usually pretty good, never had any disasters with them. They’d better bring my various vodkas though!

DrSmoot · 20/12/2022 21:53

I know in Tesco the majority of the stock comes in to be put out at night and is put out from 10pm through to 5/6/7am. This is so the shop floor isn’t crammed full of staff with cages of stock during the day, they do a one hour ‘rumble’ in the afternoon where managers and other available staff pile onto the shop floor and fill little bits/take empty cardboard away but the home shopping is all picked between 6am-3pm on a normal week and even earlier Christmas week. you are always best getting early morning slots for the best availability. Bit late now I know but a tip for next year.

LBFseBrom · 20/12/2022 21:54

Smashing, I am well pleased.

Roundaboot · 20/12/2022 21:59

I did a click and collect with Tesco today and got pretty much everything! A couple of sensible subs and I handed back the smoked salmon as it was short dated. I even got all the 19p veg I ordered. Very impressed! Just need to do a quick run for smoked salmon and Twiglets (OOS at Tesco)

LovelyRachel · 20/12/2022 22:03

Actually my Sainsburys order and delivery was so good that I messaged them to say a special thank you to the driver and picker. I doubt they'll pass on the compliments to the store but ya never know.

The social media chap seemed very pleased!!

😁
