To mark a special birthday.

What would you buy?

I'd probably take a trip somewhere. I'd consider bag, jewellery, Botox too.

minticecreamisjustok · 14/12/2022 17:47

Diamond earrings

Blowyourowntrumpet · 14/12/2022 17:47

A new sofa

prinnycessa · 14/12/2022 17:48

What kind of things do you like?

I would buy either a designer bag or a piece of jewellery.

Lavenderfowl · 14/12/2022 17:48

A bespoke pair of shoes

Lynca · 14/12/2022 17:49

Laser eye surgery

speakout · 14/12/2022 17:49

I couldn't think of anything I'd like.
I'd stick it in the bank until I needed it.
2K can give a little security in a crisis.
Having a buffer in the bank is a good feeling.

Merrow · 14/12/2022 17:50

Cargo bike

pelargoniums · 14/12/2022 17:50

Bespoke curtains or upholstered furniture in one of my favourite fancy fabrics.

Or a new bed frame and mattress.

A new sofa

Fab idea!

HelloBunny · 14/12/2022 17:51

Teeth overhaul

Ilovelurchers · 14/12/2022 17:51

I'd save it. But I am skint!

If I had to spend it soon, it would be on a holiday for me and DD in the Lakes. Or a cheap old camper van!

museumum · 14/12/2022 17:51

An e-bike maybe? But I’d prefer to buy a new front door or garden bench (sad)

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 14/12/2022 17:52

Art. Something by Marie Lenclos or Jen Orpin or Eleanor Crow probably

Mommabear20 · 14/12/2022 17:53

A trip to Center Parcs for me, DH, kids and the dogs. And save the rest!

cessie322 · 14/12/2022 17:53

A Longines watch!

I would be very tempted to buy this 👆🏻

Augend23 · 14/12/2022 17:53

If I hadn't bought my ebike last year I would buy an ebike.

Does it have to be a thing, and if it does could it be a set of things that "go".

E.g. I might like a new set of patio furniture and some plants for the garden or whatever.

MrsAmaretto · 14/12/2022 17:54

A watch. I bought my husband a Rolex when we got engaged as he really wanted one. I’ve never seen the appeal of expensive watches but we had it valued last year and it’s more than doubled in value!

I would love a diamond tennis bracelet too but like the idea of each child getting an expensive watches when we get v old

Shlomping1234 · 14/12/2022 17:57

A better car than my shitty shed on wheels 🤣

ItsMeHiImTheProblem · 14/12/2022 17:59

New wood flooring! The carpet has had it and I can't afford to replace it.

ProperVexed · 14/12/2022 18:00

I would put it towards a new camera. The one I would like is very pricey!

RJnomore1 · 14/12/2022 18:01

Definitely a trip or a piece of art.

Justtryingitonce · 14/12/2022 18:01

A second hand car.

If it has to be new I would struggle - 2k is a lot of money for one thing, I don't like expensive jewellery.... I would probably get an expensive watch that will hold most of it's value so I can sell it when the COL crisis gets worse! Which is a cop out!

Or if the one thing could be an experience then actually a night course I want to do would probably cost around £2k.... But that would be for the next 2 years.

Iusedtobecarmen · 14/12/2022 18:01

Something from Tiffany or
Burberry trenchcoat
Or a trip maybe Rome or similar
I'd love a Rolex too!
