£2k to spend on 1 thing for yourself

To mark a special birthday.

What would you buy?

I don't go for the big birthday etc thing. I'd spend the £2k on a holiday myself.

Diamond earrings or towards a watch

85 inch tv.

Touring skis boots and bindings and a new waterproof jacket!

A painting, or piece of artwork, or jewellery.

A couple of things from Hermes.

There is nothing I really want or need atm, but I'd probably just invest in a decent pressure canner and freeze dryer.

Id have a nice holiday

Either a Longines watch or a new bed and mattress.

A second hand car, or a holiday.

Or a facelift

Fillers. Botox. Adult only solo holiday in the Caribbean

I never allow myself otherwise but paintings make me happy

I don't really need anything at the moment. I suppose I could spend some on dental treatment which I am going to have but I will do that anyway and it won't add up to £2000.

I'll have to have a think. It is my birthday this month but not a 'special' one.

I couldn't spend 2k on one thing! I actually don't think I could make myself do it unless it was literally buy one thing or lose the money. I'd feel such guilt over all the things I need to do with that money, or at least all of the smaller things I could buy.

If someone gave me 2k and said I had to spend it on one thing only or I'd lose it, I'd buy something easy to sell after 😂

Then I'd pay off my credit card, buy some new shoes, and take my family away for a weekend.

Is this a hypothetical or real situation OP?
Is it a spend it or lose it situation? If that's the case then like WordtoYoMumma I would buy something I could re sell easily.
If it was a birthday gift or similar I would put it in the bank.
There is nothing I need at the moment, spending it just because feels wasteful.
Money doesn't burn a hole in my pocket, I don't do labels or brands or "stuff" in general, flash things give me little pleasure.

New bedroom furniture. I’ve had mine forever and it’s getting tatty so I’d love to replace it all

Similar. I really want an electric wheelchair (I can't use scooters as my arms v weak). Not glamorous, but would mean I could do so much more

I do think a painting is a good suggestion though. My parents gave me a really beautiful painting for my 40th and it is a gift I really do enjoy every day

For a lot of suggestions on this thread €2k is not going to touch the sides!

With a bit of a top up I’d have the bamboo handled Gucci mini bag which I currently have my eye on.
