Stupidly difficult work quiz

The stupidly difficult work quiz is back for those of you that remember (@rosegoldwatcher).

Basically there are a series of very hard puzzles to solve - each puzzle solve gives you a password to move onto the next stage.

I've already managed to solve stage one myself (go me!) but I've ground to a halt as usual on the second stage (which consists of 8 individual puzzles to solve).

Here's a couple of puzzles i'm stuck on - any help much appreciated!

Sorry there are a few where there's been more than one answer. 5 is Frogger or Trigger and 36 is Double Dragon or Streets of Rage

Haha, my lack of knowledge showed me up there! i'll amend it to Frogger!

Could you make that fit somehow?

I wonder if the first letter of each is the first word of a carol or famous song?

hmm - it's not an anagram of the first letters, as there are several in the games list that don't fit - several Ps for example, lots of Ss.

Given we have to drop the "the" from the start of the game, I think the first letters are important - or number of letters/words.

Fox radio
Radio Duck
Frog radio
Dolphin radio
Worm radio
Monkey radio

And Australian rockband Bandicoot had a song called living off the radio...

Are the letters definitely correct first and last e.g. in the list it's Money Island but a pp said it was Escape from Monkey Island which could make a difference to an anagram?

hmm, so I had a theory that reading downwards on the grid might tell us something. so I made some pictures of the slides with names on (from the most recent list). not sure it helped me much, but i'm including them in case it helps someone else.

Clutching at straws here, but do they need to be grouped? For example, group the games that are on Sega, Nintendo, PlayStation etc
