@thirstyformore there's 2 identical houses that are now flats next to each other. I think that one listed is a house? But may be a flat... 800K absolutely NOT realistic. It's been on the market for ages at 425 and didn't sell so I don't know what he's thinking. 3 bed houses on this street go for 600K and I think that's overpriced.

There is one newly constructed house which has 4 flats which sold for a total of £1.6M plus the £300K one bedroom garden house - next door is this house which was constructed from the original house which is made up of with 2 flats. Originally it was one property with a large garden.

I don't know if it IS a brothel, but there is nothing about it that suggests otherwise. It looks tacky and a bit wipe-clean.

All that ridiculous blurb and the crazy amount of photographs showing its 'beauty,' all for the main takeaway to be, "Ew. Brothel."

I feel the vendor is a modern-day version of Mr Collins from Pride & Prejudice. No doubt modelling his own modest abode on Lady Catherine's expansive sex-dungeon. Or something.

I was trying to see how much the current owner paid so searched on sold prices in the street... the suggestion to look at streetview showed that the house next door had a very similar look.. and then I stumbled across flats 1-4, the garden bungalow and the suggestion that the planning permission had been controversial.. another poster linked to the planning documents which put the pieces of the jigsaw together. There was reference to knocking the house down and building another so I am not 100% sure my interpretation is correct but it's not far off.

I’m picturing the vendor as being like Jacques from Night Night.
