Please can you hold my hand for a bit. I’ve just had to make an incredibly sad decision.

I’ve just had to make the hardest and saddest choice of my life. I’m feeling sad and I have absolutely no one to talk to, and could really do with some chit chat to take my mind off things. Does anyone want a chat about anything other than my hard decision?

I've made a rich chocolate fudge cake this morning. It's supposed to be for a meeting Friday morning but it has as much chance of lasting till then as I have of riding up my street on my pet unicorn.

In other news, both of my cats are curled up asleep in my bed in a pile of cats. It would be oh-so-tempting to go and join them but I have a Teams call at 12.30 and I haven't yet had lunch. A meal involving balanced amounts of fat, protein, carbohydrate and even some fruit is acceptable isn't it? If so then a large slice of cake it is then.

Let us be here for you, you are not alone ❤

Let me share this cake with you and some tea 🍪@Saddecision

What's been last film/movie you enjoyed?

This gentleman says hello. Fit or not? 😃

It’s my DH’s birthday today. He’s had a bit of a rough year. I finally managed to buy him presents he really likes!!! A charger/organizer doodad for his phone and watch ( - and I know what his Christmas present is too…. A fold-up travel version as he travels for work.) I also bought a new handle a portafilters (that won’t clog up) for our coffee machine, and some professional tamper and leveler things, a dosing cup and a knock box to make him feel like a real-life barista when he has his morning ritual heart-starter. Plus I bought him a ridiculous shih-tzu puppy birthday cake.

@Saddecision good, it was random and supposed to bring a smile to your face but glad it made you laugh.

Thank you all so so much for your support, your solidarity, and your random chit chat about cakes and pets and birthdays. I have read every single post.

I needed you all that night and you made me feel so much less alone.

This is mumsnet at its absolute best.

Hope things are settling a bit for you now. The pup is now fast asleep, surrounded by a sea of ripped cardboard.

That’s good; I hope the week moved onwards and upwards for you Flowers
