Your first perfume

Can you remember what your first proper perfume was? I was looking for a perfume for dd12 for Christmas and I sniffed one and it instantly took me back to 1994 it was identical to the original United colours of Benetton perfume, I got a bit excited and said to the girl in the shop who nodded along sympatheticly with the old woman!!

Used to get so excited about going into town on a Saturday to get the free perfume sample packets from Debenhams (with the little tube of perfume inside)

Anyone remember XXI by Miss. Selfridge?
They used to spray it my the entrance. I bought a bottle when they discontinued it.

Strawberry perfume oil from the Body Shop.

Ghost...I still think it smells lovely - it just vanishes the instant it's on (I guess the clue's in the name).

J'Espere - don't know who made it, bought it in Boots, loved it, and if anyone knows if it or a dupe are still available I'd be forever grateful!

Miss Dior - gift from French exchange, loved it then love it now (but you have to make sure you get the classic/original, not the bastardised version they gave the same name a few years ago)

Poison - the first 'grown up' scent I bought for myself

Oh Lord! Avon Pretty Peach! Ugh! Quickly followed by some decent perfume by Avon - Moonwind, Charisma, Unforgettable, Occur! Oh I wish they would bring them back again. Such a shame their perfumes now are crap watery rubbish!

Then the likes of the Lentheric stuff - Tramp, Rebel, Lace, Yardley silk or something like that. Faberge Xanadu. Matchebelli Cachet.

J'adore by Dior, my aunt bought me a huge bottle from duty free when I was about 14, I thought it was the best present ever!
When I went on holiday the following year I got myself Tresor by Lancôme.
Still love both of these scents

First 'proper' perfume in the sense that it was a 'designer' one from the perfume hall and not from Avon or a Body Mist from The Body Shop or Boots was Hugo Deep Red.

Still have an (old) bottle, albeit I don't wear perfume much but I still love the smell of it.

For my 16th birthday, my eldest brother bought me Joy by Jean Patou (still wear it 50 yrs later), Balenciaga le Dix, and Chanel No. 5,

Charlie Red, like most people hitting their teens in the nineties.

When I started work I bought myself UltraViolet.

I now tend toward Issey Miyake.

As a teenager I had Exclamation! and So....? though I can't remember if they was perfume or a body spray.

First proper perfume was Noa by Cacharel. Wore it for many years until a couple of bottles I had smelled off. Then I switched to something by Hugo Boss.

Tommy girl. Got it for my 13th birthday. Still love the smell now

Many decades ago, Hartnell’s In Love.

Paco Rabanne XS pour Elle, the original one. They stopped making it in about 2005/6 and I still think about it. None of the other XS range smell properly like it; just heartbreaking. You used to be able to get the occasional bottle that had been sat in a one horse town's dusty chemist cabinet for years, but I haven't had a bottle that way since 2014. I'd love to smell it again!

Houbigant Quelque Fleurs - I must have been regifted it by an older relative. Loved it.

Was given Anais by my BFF for my 15th birthday.

Mine was Chloe by Karl Lagerfeld and Miss Dior
