Can someone explain why I've I've just bought delivery saver I've been charged £7 delivery? I thought you paid an amount per month and deliveries were 'free' then?

Took 2 hours to get through the queue but surprised to see a lot of slots left. App very flaky though. Not sure why it has to be like this: in the past, the slots would just be released at the normal time, 3 weeks in advance and never had problems booking something, even C&C. I haven't shopped in a supermarket at Christmas for about 18 years but booking these slots becomes more of a farce every year.

Log in at 6.03 got in just before 8! Issues updating basket and checking out but all worked in the end but frustrating.

For delivery saver they don't actually charge you the amount shown: it won't appear on your bill. They will just take the monthly amount from you.

Seems to be speeding up now, will miss my time due to school run, so will have to try again after!

shit, thought this was tomorrow so just joined the queue now, 40 mins to wait, we shall see if I get a slot!

@Spoodee On my bill there is another line below the 'Minimum basket charge removed' line which says 'Delivery Saver Discount' and removes the £7.00.

Oh, that's not right, it should have taken it off. I wouldn't worry about it today as they will be very busy with people complaining that they haven't got their slot. leave it a few days then go in and see if it is still like that, it may update, fortunately you have quite a while to sort it out with Tesco before delivery

Well, that was underwhelming.
How on earth does one get to order Christmas food-for-delivery? (I've got my slot now, just ended up with potatoes, champagne & cigarettes for now!)
Every time I clicked on, say, desserts, then on 'take me back to the menu' I couldn't find anywhere to actually order the 'special' food.. what am I doing wrong, please?

Ah, just found out, I think.. have to get the slot first & then log back in to start adding the Christmas food-to-order.. well that makes sense.. not..

Finally got into app and the nearest date to Christmas showing is 5 December (all times unavailable in that day anyway)!!?!

Trouble is with the cappucino & ciggie.. it's raining (don't smoke in the house) & I will sit under the porch but there's a tube web spider sat watching me.. they bite.. if I don't return, you'll know it's got me..

I actually don't even want a slot for Christmas but for earlier in December when we do a Christmas dinner with our friends.
