I'm logged in for my Mum on one device - queue position 6235 & on my phone for myself - queue position 8901

Hope they start opening up soon 🤞🏻

I am now 127,945 after starting at 166,795 nearly 45 mins ago. I think 'over an hour' might mean anything up to a fortnight😂😂

I got kicked out of the queue so I'm giving up now 👹👹

Same here, eventually managed to book one but I’ve been trying to checkout for nearly 20 minutes but keep getting an error message about being unable to update my basket.

Honestly why can’t they open it at a normal time? It’s a real struggle to get up at 5.45am. 7am would be more appropriate. Or 9am on a weekend, because it’s saying over an hour and I’ll have to leave for the school run before I reach the front of the queue!

The app kicked me out. Now 60000 again. Laptop 9049 and 7 minutes. Trying to book for Mum & Dad as well as me.

There has to be a better system than this, surely?

I like to order my shop for 23/12, so it gives Christmas Eve to go out and get the stuff they couldn't deliver.

I was hoping it might start going a bit quicker as people get their slots and drop off multiple devices. Is the Christmas slot MN thread a New Christmas tradition we’ll look back on with nostalgia when our Christmas dinners are produced by the replicator in our space pods?

I forgot! Logged on half an hour ago to find I was over 260,000 in the queue!.
Madness! I've gone down to 204,364.

Only down to 22100! Kids are waking now. Are people actually doing their Christmas food shop? I normally bung some champagne in the basket and check out, them amend at a later date.

I've been on since 5.49 and allegedly have 3 minutes left at position 3374.

Waited an hour and then booked 23rd, plus usual slots. On app and had no problems.

This is ridiculous- kicked off the app again and now 260,000

Love the passive-aggressive question mark on the end of "Don't want a Christmas week slot? Maybe try again later when we're not so busy?"

How about they have a separate queueing system for November dates and for December dates?

208581 😱 my alarm must have gone off and not woken me up 😭 it's dropping about 10k every 15m though, probably take me about 5hrs to get a slot at this rate!

I was 80k odd when I logged in at 5.45 I have just booked for myself and also a slot for my Mum. My store had the whole day free so hopefully it's not too long for you all.

Sainsbury spreads it out and releases new slots every day for about a week. So it avoids everyone queuing at once. Asda seems to have so many slots that you can go on a month later and still get one. Tesco’s system sucks. Not least because I’m forced to book a click and collect if I actually want to get any shopping!

I logged in during the night and I was 176Th but jumped way up to over 3000. Still not got a slot or able to access the slots for this week either.

I'm sure last year I loaded the app at 6am and didn't have to queue. Must have repressed the true memory 😂

Loaded at 6 today and I'm still waiting. 71.6k to go.

It goes down quicker than the suggested wait time.
Troue is when you finally get through it takes 10/15 minutes to check out as the site is so overwhelmed.
Sainsburys is the way to go!
