Anyone else in the queue?

I'm logged in for my Mum on one device - queue position 6235 & on my phone for myself - queue position 8901

Hope they start opening up soon 🤞🏻

I'm at 72,000 ish so will get in just as I'm meant to start work 🙄 Might have to hide in the cupboard.

Not sure what my back up plan will be if I can't book before work. I don't drive & getting a taxi will be a pita at that time of year 🤷‍♀️

App is very glitchy though. Errors all the time and check out took ages.

Loaded at 6 today and I'm still waiting. 71.6k to go.

Last year the app was super quick because not so many were using it. I think this year everyone else has cottoned on to that.

Logged in just after 6 and 177000 in the queue. Still at over 90000 now so it's moving slowly. Reckons 30 mins from here but already taken 75 mins to move the same number from when I logged on, so doubting the accuracy.

Only down to 22100! Kids are waking now. Are people actually doing their Christmas food shop? I normally bung some champagne in the basket and check out, them amend at a later date.

It says you only have 10 mins to checkout once in!

I'm not being judgemental here, but wouldn't it be quicker to use go to the store? I tend to pick stuff up as I go along but haven't started anything yet but the thought of siting in a virtual queue just makes me anxious. 😟

The wait time is dropping quickly now.
I was 195k when I joined the queue around 6.20 but I’m now 105644 and a 28 minute wait. It was showing a 50 minute wait less than 10 minutes ago.

On the app though so expecting to be kicked out before I get to the front of the queue.

I forgot and didnt come in the queue till just after 7. Going to be here till about 9 I reckon. Going to have to do it at work. Last year was much quicker.

Because of work I'd only be able to go to the store on a Saturday and it's always bedlam. I'd much rather sit in a queue in my dressing gown while watching the news and drinking coffee.

It reckons 70000 will take 20 mins - I remain sceptical. Happy to do Click and Collect - just refuse to fight my way round a supermarket with a trolley and queue for hours for what amounts to food for one weekend. I loathe supermarket shopping at the best of times: my idea of hell is being trapped in a supermarket for all eternity.

There was uproar last year about this 😂. People were stuck in huge queues online then someone would waltz along and ask what all the fuss was about as they got straight in on the app. Twitter was lively lol.

I don't have a car and I'm not keen on schlepping a big shop 5 miles home from the supermarket. Not sure my balance is good enough to try getting it all home on my bicycle, either. 😂

Just done - logged in just before 6 and was around 96,000 in the queue. Got the slot I wanted on 23rd. A bit slow to be able to add and pay but all worked in the end. Pretty good from Tesco in my view.

But I'm sat in a virtual queue while first getting myself ready and now getting the kids up and ready, which isn't so easy to do while going round a shop!

We get all a delivery every week so if I don't get a Christmas slot I have to do a full shop in-store, which I absolutely loathe, at the busiest time of the year when I'm not used to it - I definitely prefer this way, though can see why some people wouldn't.

When I did my slots, I logged out then immediately used my Dad's login. It let me straight through to book his slots without queuing. Don't think it's meant to, but it might help anyone who is trying to book on someone else's behalf as well.

All done.

Once in, the app problems have been:
-we are having problems updating your basket
-no food at all showing to put in basket
-being able to pay (won’t go through the card verification)
-problem confirming order

Fully imagine our 10 mins will be up before we actually get to checkout the 2 pints of milk
