@Deathraystare
My arme are keeping up😀
The fever is gone since this morning, I hope it stays that way. Tomorrow they take blood again and if everything is ok the start the next chemo.

DD has brought clothes and food because everything went a bit fast as DD has got me in as an emergency because of the fever.

HelenaJustina · 08/01/2023 18:58

Sounds like your DD is taking good care of you prok a caring competent young woman.

Lemonsandlemonade · 08/01/2023 21:48

Your DD sounds lovely Prok glad you’re doing ok.

Start new job tomorrow. Excited and nervous

mathanxiety · 08/01/2023 23:47

Spent a very lazy day on Saturday. Went to the thrift shop with DD3 and she bought a lovely, long, wool and cashmere duster coat for $14.99. It fit her perfectly. Bought a nice Indian recipe book featuring simple ingredients for myself, and a ball of nice yarn.

I did two of my planned three loads of laundry today. Unfortunately, the washing machine drain in the basement seems to have backed up - when I went down to throw the second laundry load into the dryer there was water sluicing out of the overflow sink. So I took some photos and sent a message to the LL. I'll have to do the woolly sweaters another day.

We're having spaghetti and Italian sausage meatballs for dinner.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 09/01/2023 02:02

@mathanxiety washing machine here gave me trouble yesterday, too! I've been procrastinating cleaning the filter and draining it and I guess the machine had enough of waiting...water all over the floor to clean up. 🤦‍♀️

Just going to sit down to Christmas dinner...
😋😋😋😋😋😋

RhubarbFairy · 09/01/2023 07:14

Good luck today, @Lemonsandlemonade.

I'm currently drinking tea and have a cat perched on my shoulder. Must go wake up DS1 for school (DS2 leaves a little later, so he's fine for now).

Found the Christmas presents from the cattery to the cats in my car yesterday. Two soft emoji faces filled with catnip. I gave them to the cats, and they both had a wonderful time with them.

Hope today goes well Lemons

Hope bloods are OK Prok and chemo can go ahead.

Hope return to school goes well Sprouts and thanks

Lovely cat pics Rhubarb

Thanks Death

Half asleep here. Saw DS again yesterday but he was aggitated and had already thrown his breakfast all over floor, forced meds he's cross about. He's just gaming 24.7 in there too.

Floof was on top of wardrobe last night leaning right over half off and we said Floof be careful and he leaned further forward like what? Then fell off but managed to do a mid air jump on to the bed then another jump to the floor then another one to headrest and his best I planned to do that look. He's very purry atm. I've heard DH tell him he loves him quite a few times last few days.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 09/01/2023 11:50

@Lemonsandlemonade all the best!!!

Yes, DD is stressed and full of anxiety, but has taken over everything.
With DH working 16 h a day because he is self employed and when working completely oblivious of time and space.
This is a AS/ADD household, so household chores are divided into necessary like food and laundry and ornamental (dusting, floors, windows etc.).😀

cassiatwenty · 09/01/2023 12:59

I've went out for a jog, got some water, and now I'm chatting on MN and trying to do some work. I've participated in a discussion on attractiveness of David Cameron.

My life could be yours!! This could be you!! Drinking water and eating apples whilst in library #excitement #blessings

MissConductUS · 09/01/2023 15:13

@cassiatwenty, welcome, and thanks for sharing your calming news. I used to job but years of doing so caused so many injuries that I've had to find other exercises. I do love a good apple, especially a honey crisp. I can't recall what David Cameron looks like, so have no opinion on his attractiveness.

Mum, my DD spontaneously decided to clean the filter and trap on our washing machine last week. Apparently, it was in quite a state, and we have narrowly avoided disaster with it.

Rhubarb, lovely cats. We got the cats some new toys for Christmas and they have been ignoring them.

Prok, I'm glad your fever broke, that's good news.

Not much new here. We had our weekly zoom call with my MIL last night. There was a water leak in the apartment building she recently moved into and they've had to remove some sheet rock in her apartment, so she was a bit miffed about that. We have a three day weekend coming up , so DS may take his recently acquired car and visit friends in Boston next weekend, including a possible visit to MIL.

Today went well but I just feel like it may not be a long term thing I did love it but something isn’t quite right but can’t articulate it more than that.

HelenaJustina · 09/01/2023 20:16

Glad it went well lemons it is completely normal to feel out-of-sorts/discombobulated for a bit when you change jobs. You may grow into it or the job may shift over time - or it/you may not and it may be staging post to something else. It all happens for a reason! Hope the rest of the week goes well.

Lemonsandlemonade · 09/01/2023 21:33

Thanks Helena.

Had a call tonight DM is in hospital her heart rate is too fast at 150bpm now down to 130 bpm. She is seeing cardiologist in morning.

feel quite worried about that one.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 09/01/2023 23:10

@MissConductUS you've likely avoided a mess! Good on your DD for being proactive!
@Lemonsandlemonade I hope for your mum it's nothing serious. 🙏

Very grey day here. The wind kicks up on and off alternating with rain. Havoc missed nap time because I was preoccupied with taking the Christmas tree down and tidying up afterward. The US news (Los Angelas) is reporting on continued flooding from the previous and a new storm in California. Landslides/mudslides and roads underwater look fairly devastating. Very lucky up here that the storm changed course and missed us.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/01/2023 08:52

Grey here but no rain.
My room mate has just been discharged, breakfast has been removed, room's been cleaned, I showered and now I wait if chemo is approved for tomorrow
The owl sends me reminders to keep my streak.

Silkierabbit · 10/01/2023 11:00

Hope your bloods are OK Prok

Hope Mum is OK lemons

Dh got me a TV for Christmas for bedroom and just set it up last night. Fine when on, switch it off and in comes Floof sees his reflection and goes standing and boxes tv with his front paws and it falls on to carpet. Put it up again today and Floof does same thing. When it fell over he trilled. Dd says he does same with her TV.

cassiatwenty · 10/01/2023 18:18

Thank you for the warm welcome @MissConductUS
Honey crisp sounds delicious right now. I hope your chat with MIL went well, and that sheet rock sounds a bit confusing. Boston sounds lovely right now.

@Lemonsandlemonade I totally get what you mean xx

@Mumtobabyhavoc Oh yes, the Christmas trees are getting out around this time. We have a plastic one we've used for aaaaages so I think mum will just store it somewhere. I'm glad that you've been safe and avoided the storm xx

On my end, I just spent the day out in nature, returning some books, and a bit of nature. Lots of water to keep me hydrated

Here's David Cameron and a photo, out and about

Lemonsandlemonade · 10/01/2023 20:24

Thanks all DM doing ok. She is board in hospital and is being treated for an infection too. There is no visiting as there is covid on ward.

MissConductUS · 10/01/2023 21:19

Silkie, see if you can get him to watch on youtube. Your new TV won't last long at this rate. How does he react to mirrors?

Cassia, sheetrock is the American term for manufactured wall board, which is put up and then painted. Cameron seems nice looking enough.

Prok, time in hospital is always grim, but it sounds like you are making the best of it.

Lemons, was the rapid heart rate accompanied by any other symptoms like high blood pressure? I hope she's doing better now.

OP posts:
Lemonsandlemonade · 10/01/2023 21:25

@missC no it was in normal range HR was 150 went down to 120 now at about 100 so going in right direction.

Never rains but it pours FIL has date for his heart operation to try and sort out aneurism and another thing.

Silkierabbit · 10/01/2023 23:34

I haven't seen Floof with a mirror, TV I quickly put on a New Zealand travel show so he could not see himself in it, that seemed to work as he watched it for 15 minutes. I could not see much though as I had a big Floof in the middle of the screen. Will try cat TV, he watches that with DD. Dd was amused how closely he was watching the travel show.

Glad your Mum is getting better Lemons.

mathanxiety · 11/01/2023 02:26

Sending best wishes, Prok. Hope it goes well.

Silkies my TV is covered with little scratches thanks to Dcat's interest in nature documentaries. We have a full length wall mirror where she sometimes sits, tilting her head left for a while, then right for a while, clearly studying her reflection. Sometimes she catches my eye in the mirror. I really want to know what goes on in her head.

DD3 is back in university for her final semester. She spent the Christmas break sending off a few applications to grad school and has a few more due this weekend.

Always4Brenner · 11/01/2023 10:13

All the best Prock and others suffering today bad day yesterday pain was just chronic I ordered a heated throw and love it worth every penny. Much happier today sky is blue so that helps.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 11/01/2023 15:32

Thanks for all the good wishes!

Chemo in full swing

Mumtobabyhavoc · 11/01/2023 16:35
