God I adore this woman! She is amazing!

OP posts:
itsgettingweird · 20/10/2022 20:46

I also love her.

She's also funny, witty, real and relatable and that's why she turns up on last leg and HIGFY etc.

Batshittery · 20/10/2022 20:47

VioletTopaz · 20/10/2022 20:44

I find the way she’s interrupting all the time really fucking rude and irritating. Along with her huffing and puffing. And I detest the Tories.

Exactly
She might have some valid things to say but her attitude just turns me off her

MarshaMelrose · 20/10/2022 20:48

I used to watch her on This Week. She was just irritating with all her "I'm just a humble woman" shtick.

MabelMoo23 · 20/10/2022 20:49

cinnabongene · 20/10/2022 20:32

yes! Many of us want to support her and the Labour Party but not until they drop the self-identification bollocks

This is exactly my dilemma!!!!

if there was a GE , I will not be voting Tory, but as it stands I won’t vote for Labour

Holidayexpert · 20/10/2022 20:49

I can’t stand her facial expressions. She loves the sound of her own voice.
Big pals with Rees Mog as well!

Anniefrenchfry · 20/10/2022 20:49

I like her but she show boats, she speaks in sound bites. Pre rehearsed lines that she wants to say, irrelevant of the conversation.

I watched her in parliament the other day and she made a comment about what everyone was saying with a pithy sound bite. But no one had been saying what she said they’d said, so it was like she’d decided what she would say and said it, even though it made no sense

I also don’t like her policies at all. I nearly laughed there when she said Keri starmer should be the next pm. Just another sound bite that was pre rehearsed she wanted to say.

OldReliable · 20/10/2022 20:49

Nobody in real life gives a shit about the "knows what a woman is" crap. It's probably a couple of thousand votes, if that. Mumsnet likes to make a big deal of it. But if you vote Tory just because of that fringe issue then you're just as culpable as anyone else for the shit state the country is in.

(By the way, all the changes that you hate so much in society about trans women vs women - they all happened under the tories).

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 20/10/2022 20:50

Anyone think Rachel has the same voice as Kate Middleton? They sound identical.

cowskeepingmeupatnight · 20/10/2022 20:50

Honestly, I really can’t stand how the whole world now has to be divided into ‘is he/she gender critical enough’? It’s so bloody boring. I don’t have strong views either but bloody hell if I’m going to throw my lot in with a bunch of single-issue ideologues now. What a turn off.

Wow. I think you will find people do care. But wow. It’s clear you don’t.

sashagabadon · 20/10/2022 20:51

She was terrible when she stood to be leader, I think people were taken aback with how useless she was as a speaker. Maybe nerves. I’m not a fan

cinnabongene · 20/10/2022 20:51

Holidayexpert · 20/10/2022 20:45

@cinnabongene Oh FFS, I can’t stand the women, but get a fucking grip.
Why are some of you so obsessed with this marginal issue!

Are you serious? If so, and presumably, as a female - shame on you.

If it’s true that only a few thousand people care about women and children being groomed, sexually assaulted and raped, that’s appalling.

Ukholidaysaregreat · 20/10/2022 20:53

I bloody love Jess Phillips, and Rachel Reeves. Good eggs!

Anniefrenchfry · 20/10/2022 20:56

God I’m watching her now and she really is show boating “you have my woord” . She’s also dominating the conversation and not listening. I don’t think she’s doing well here at all.

VioletTopaz · 20/10/2022 20:56

So an audience member has just berated her (and the Tory bloke) for sniping. Yet, she still can’t help herself sniping. It’s really not a good look.

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 20/10/2022 20:56

I think people care about different things and to some people who haven't looked into the trans thing,it's an irritant to them....

To others however it's a vote stopping issue ( as it is to me).

Re Jess I think the fact people says shes a "mate" of Reese mogg...(whatever they constitute mate to mean) is a good thing.

endofthelinefinally · 20/10/2022 20:57

It isn't a marginal issue if you are a victim of assault, in a women's refuge and you get raped by a man in there with you. (In Canada where self ID is law)
It isn't a marginal issue if you are a rape victim going into hospital for major surgery and your operation is cancelled and you are chucked out because you asked for intimate care to be provided by female staff. (UK)
Both of these have happened to vulnerable women this week.
I would really want the Labour Party to say they will stop these things happening, but they have pledged to support self ID.

YourWinter · 20/10/2022 20:57

I can’t stand her.

Halstead · 20/10/2022 20:58

Marginal issue my arse.

RedRosie · 20/10/2022 20:58

Yes. It's a shame she doesn't know what a woman is, because I can't really hear what else she is saying.

No-one cares what I think though, apparently.

I do wish the Labour party generally could play the current situation more cleverly, rather than just shouting the same thing over and over. A general election currently? No, let the Tories clear up the wretched mess they've made. Or not.

Anniefrenchfry · 20/10/2022 20:59

I don’t understand what she was doing there, saying about what she will be left with, what she will do, she was acting like she’d the leader who will be pm. She wasn’t saying what we will do, it was all about her making policy . It was very odd

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 20/10/2022 20:59

Because they care about specific issues, not the bigger picture, hence Rotherham on their hand's.

The monitory of men raping the girls was more important than the girls. ..

Women are half the population and not a minority.

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 20/10/2022 21:02

Red Rosie so do I.

What does it tell you, that they can't? Everything is handed on a plate.

I know what I would be doing in opposition.

But we see in some poster's on mumsent a good idea of what is going on. I've mentioned before that they struggle to communicate, they can't get their message out, and I've been shouted down that they do!
