Wow. The two most important, most senior offices changed/replaced(sacked) in less than a week.

How rude of LT to cancel a visit. Imagine the preparation required for her visit.

Notonthestairs · 19/10/2022 16:34

Well, she started campaigning for her candidacy as PM before Johnson resigned. I assume she's going to follow the same pattern.

Piggywaspushed · 19/10/2022 16:37

Just signing in whilst going 'ooooooooohhhhh'.

Orangesandlemons77 · 19/10/2022 16:38

What next I wonder?

Notonthestairs · 19/10/2022 16:39

Lewis Goodall saying Shapps in as Home Sec. Not a bad move by Hunt.

Theskyisfullofbirds · 19/10/2022 16:39

itsgettingweird · 19/10/2022 08:11

I just think the fact the Tory's are blaming everyone but Larry the cat for their disastrous decisions speaks all the volumes we need to read.

He’s next on the list.

Saucery · 19/10/2022 16:39

It’s beggared belief for a while but this beggars belief even further.

Notonthestairs · 19/10/2022 16:41

Suella Braverman gone as Home Secretary - not clear what has happened. Told it’s security related

Grant Shapps expected to be the new Home Secretary

twitter.com/steven_swinford/status/1582756907122450432?s=46&t=89Aser4vOAqr6aSSrnZNxA

Security related???????

itsgettingweird · 19/10/2022 16:42

It wasn't us who gave him the nickname, I guess we'd have gone with Big dickhead or something along those lines.

After a shit day this statement has made me laugh Grin

tobee · 19/10/2022 16:43

Who next?

James Not so Cleverly?

itsgettingweird · 19/10/2022 16:45

the80sweregreat · 19/10/2022 09:32

I find it odd that the mantra is ' aspiration nation , higher wages , get that promotion ' type narrative, but if your in the public sector or a normal civil servant , it's very hard to earn more as wages have been stagnant for so long
Especially in the NHs

And if the public sector think they should or could use the channels open to them to negotiate higher wages with inflation - then guess again. They want to make striking illegal.

Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton · 19/10/2022 16:45

Shapps???

Fuckadoodledoo

tobee · 19/10/2022 16:45

Let's hope her dream goes with her

Notonthestairs · 19/10/2022 16:45

Twitter chat seems to be Braverman sent emails using phone - unsecured.
Seems a bit odd. But what doesn't these days.

Cornettoninja · 19/10/2022 16:46

Security related???????

Not that I condone violence but there are some people that it’s almost unexplainable how they don’t have a black eye more often.

tobee · 19/10/2022 16:46

Schapps is quite odd. Him and his spreadsheets, false names, Galaxy fold etc

🚨NEW @OpiniumResearch Conservative members poll🚨

If the Conservative leadership election were rerun today, 64% of would vote for Rishi Sunak, while 36% would back Liz Truss.

twitter.com/opiniumresearch/status/1582665358489669636?s=46&t=Kedu2iJKwxczlfhDCgssVQ

But bloody late now.

I was watching something this morning where they said that most people voted as soon as they got their ballot papers because they got them so early.

So before most of the hustings and before the financiers were able to point out all the absolute flaws on her plan.

So I'm thinking many may have wanted to change minds before the end of the campaign - as well as the many more who've since realised.

ClaudineClare · 19/10/2022 16:50

Oh that is fantastic news about Braverman. Hateful person.

itsgettingweird · 19/10/2022 16:50

DuncinToffee · 19/10/2022 11:05

Here's what a Conservative MP had to say about a new bill that could limit the right to protest -- it may surprise you.

twitter.com/openDemocracy/status/1582405151033155584?t=VVsd1xd0ZkNLs6RARUlYLw&s=19

That's brilliant.

I do think the party has gone too far right for even the hardened Tory's.

itsgettingweird · 19/10/2022 16:52

mibbelucieachwell · 19/10/2022 12:08

Trying to attack KS again for not doing anything about the current problems 😆

Whilst blaming them for the current problems ConfusedHmmHalloween Angry

Notonthestairs · 19/10/2022 16:52

Didn't the voting start but they said people could change their votes electronically at a later date.

Then they realised that wasn't practical and ripe for security issues.

HonorHiding · 19/10/2022 16:53

Braverman said to have “breached the ministerial code”, according to BBC1.

tobee · 19/10/2022 16:54

Every day's a popcorn day

🍿

HonorHiding · 19/10/2022 16:54

Sorry - BBC News channel, not BBC1.

DuncinToffee · 19/10/2022 16:55

Halloween Shock I have been stuck on phonecalls...
