How many people have you spoken to today?

I haven't spoken to a single soul and am not likely to tomorrow either, it feels weird to not have spoken to a single person in 24 hours.

Only my children, like most days.

CuriousCatfish · 08/10/2022 19:21

Couple of people in person and quite a few on Whatsapp.

Allmarbleslost · 08/10/2022 19:21

2 dc, dh and the friend I had lunch with

Parmesam · 08/10/2022 19:23

DH, DD, the barman at the pub, a few staffa several shops, and a couple on the very crowded bus on the way home. It was a good day actually, sometimes I only speak to DH & DD.

zen1 · 08/10/2022 19:24

My elderly mum on the phone and the immediate family I live with.

WeAreTheHeroes · 08/10/2022 19:24

About 20, but I'm on holiday and walked around town a couple of times today.

Leeds2 · 08/10/2022 19:24

None, in person.
Maybe 5 or so texts to two different people.
Going out with a friend tomorrow though!

TescoCustomerService · 08/10/2022 19:24
  1. My partner, our 2 children, video call with my aunt and the checkout lady in Co-Op
TokyoSushi · 08/10/2022 19:25

About 14, DC & DC, 3 friends for afternoon tea and the football mums this morning.

TokyoSushi · 08/10/2022 19:25

DH & DC!

SkirridHill · 08/10/2022 19:26

Quite a few IRL as we were wandering about town today after dance class. Three or four in WhatsApp, and three friends on Signal.

StopStartStop · 08/10/2022 19:26

Dad (I'm his carer)
Woman on the supermarket checkout (I'm in every day, most of them talk to me)
Neighbour said hello - or was that yesterday?

Daughter (lives with me)
Ex and his GF (came round for coffee)
Brother
3 friends on the phone
Delivery man
Neighbour

HariboReckoning · 08/10/2022 19:26

Nobody today.

BigFatLiar · 08/10/2022 19:26

We've only spoken to each other (me and dh) it's nice when the girls call or the gc, may give them a call.

We both volunteer these days, usually different days, so we get to talk to other people. After lockdown we find it takes extra effort to meet up with friends, we've become almost reclusive. We need to make more effort.

StopStartStop · 08/10/2022 19:27

Oh, and I messaged my db. But not my dd or dgd, because it's weekend.

FuckingHateRats · 08/10/2022 19:27

Probably 15ish? Been out for coffee, lots of dog-walking chat, charity shop trawl in the afternoon so spoke to the people working in them, my three kids and DH. My mum on facetime.

My DH, 3 DCs, my DSis who is staying with us, my DD’s friend’s mum who came to pick up some eye drops, 10 kids and 12 parents and aunts and uncles at my DD’s best friend’s birthday party, 2 friends with whom we went apple picking, and various people at the orchard. Many texts with my DM coordinating a dinner I’m hosting on Monday. Many texts with my DSIL who has shared her lovely wedding photos with us. Several work IMs and emails because work never stops.

I don’t envy you for a day without speaking to a soul, but meeting somewhere in the middle between “nobody” and “half the universe” would be nice.

PandaOrLion · 08/10/2022 19:29

Maybe ten?
DH, friend for lunch, other friends for coffee, people in shops and cafe, and then seeing friends for dinner tonight.

If I don’t see people then madness lies that way, so I have to plan in company for the weekends

Plantmum2047 · 08/10/2022 19:30

Too many. Working all weekend in a job where I speak to many many people every day. It's exhausting!

Treebranch · 08/10/2022 19:30

About 12 people at sport class, social event, family I live with. But honestly, I still feel lonely. I'm not sure why.
