How many people have you spoken to today?

I haven't spoken to a single soul and am not likely to tomorrow either, it feels weird to not have spoken to a single person in 24 hours.

OP posts:

One main person, then a shop keeper,
sometimes it's nice or at least do text talk.

PuttingDownRoots · 08/10/2022 19:36

Friends family came around for the afternoon

My mum, who I'm caring for, and two carers who came twice today. Usually it's four carers at two different visits. Mum is 95 and is recovering impressively from a really nasty attack of covid.

workflowers · 08/10/2022 19:38

coach at one child’s sports class
Another parent at the sports class

Hotandbothereds · 08/10/2022 19:38

Two people who were walking their dogs at the same time I was, nobody I know.

CaptainMyCaptain · 08/10/2022 19:39

Hundreds. I've been booking people in at a vaccination centre.

Hi OP, I feel like this is something within your control though? You could go to places and chat to people? You could phone people? You could arrange to meet up with someone?

MeanderingGently · 08/10/2022 19:40

At work today so spoke to the manager, two colleagues. Said good morning to a passing guest. That's it.
Had two days off work previously so spoke to no-one on one of the days. The other it was a hello to the Tesco check-out lady and ditto the garden centre. Sent several texts though and e-mails so I still felt in touch with friends/family.

To be honest I don't really notice, there are often days when I don't speak to anyone in real life but I'm quite an introvert and it isn't a big deal. I think it depends on whether you feel lonely or out of touch, if not it doesn't matter.

ArtixLynx · 08/10/2022 19:40

in person, the people in my house.

online i've been chatting to friends on and off all day.

pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs · 08/10/2022 19:42

DH
DD (she's a toddler so not overly conversational though!)
Lady at the bakery
Two people I know at the play park
DM on the phone
Three friends at the pub

So that's 9, plus two friends on WhatsApp.

I'd happily go a day without talking to anybody though. Sounds lush frankly.

YourUserNameMustBeAtLeast3Characters · 08/10/2022 19:42

10 (plus I had a conversation or two with the cat).

Badger1970 · 08/10/2022 19:42
