Just that really, and just a bit of a light hearted rant!

I will admit that in the past I have worn both of these things so I get why people where them and I'm not directing it at anyone individually!
BUT I just cannot bare false eyelashes or really long hair extensions. They both just look SO uncomfortable, I
don't know how anyone can really relax wearing them.
Especially the look when half the eyelashes have fallen off and there are just massive clumps of lashes left 😳😳😳😳 I just do not get it it! Whhhhyyyyy do people do this?!

I can't bear mum jeans but only because they look crap on me and I keep being told skinnies are dead.

Mumsnet is so straight honestly -nobody ever has eyelash extensions or nails.

or the rest of your look like Vicars in training

What does this comment even mean? 🙈😳

I agree with many... not a fan of bootlegs!
I have happily shifted away from skinny's and have a few really nice hnm and topshop high waisted jeans which I feel SO comfy on compared to skinny's!

Wow. Trainee vicars must be very stylish.

Rather a vicar than a tart.

Jumpsuits. I can't understand the getting undressed to have a wee .

Same here. Tried some on once and looked like tweedledee and tweedledum's long lost triplet.

KennAdams · 28/09/2022 20:50

The puffer coats that go down to the feet. It reminds me of having to wear a hand me down that's far too big for you but your mum makes you wear it anyway on the promise that you'll "grow in to it"

keeprunning55 · 28/09/2022 20:51

After a hideous jury duty stint I have to say, grey jogging bottoms. All the defendants wore them (prison uniform).
I used to like them.

Dontsayyouloveme · 28/09/2022 20:54

Ankle boots with skirts/dresses, don’t understand how that is a good look.. 🙄

EntertainingandFactual · 28/09/2022 20:54

Mullets!! They’re back and make even the best looking man look absolutely awful especially when accompanied by a nasty little moustache 🤮

ArabellaDrummond · 28/09/2022 20:55

Lucy & Yak dungarees
Crocs
Chunky trainers

Nomorefuckstogive · 28/09/2022 20:55

Lip fillers, skinny pencilled eyebrows, face tattoos, pale pink or cream almost skin-coloured leggings, mullets. I quite like almost anything else TBH.

Bluevelvetsofa · 28/09/2022 20:59

Cycling shorts, unless you have a figure as slim as a wand and are under 20. I include MAMIL.

Shannith · 28/09/2022 21:02

I wear gilets all the time! But then I am actually mucking out horses.

I love them. keeps my core warm and leaves my arms free.

I've got Mulberry and Piklur ones for fancy Smile

Wfhandbored · 28/09/2022 21:04

The worst look is people judging others for presenting how they want to present. Why do we need to slate people? I don't get it.

The main thing being slated from reading through this is hair extensions and eyelashes, the 'fake' look in general.

There'll be people reading through this with low self esteem thinking oh shit I look awful and I can't wear this or that now.

We have enough pressure as mums don't we? Let's be nice.

Shannith · 28/09/2022 21:06

@Purplehonesty2 snap! But I do wear mine in town as my nearest town is hardly a pulsing metropolis of style and I blend right in.

I know what you're saying but honestly if you embrace the caterpillar look you won't regret it! I have one and on those freezing cold winter days, you can walk around all toasty from head to toe feeling like you have a big duvet wrapped around you. You won't care how it looks!

Carpediem15 · 28/09/2022 21:19

Woman infront of me today wearing shiny faux leather trousers and faux leather blazer so had to get infront of her to see what she was wearing with it - lurex type top and shiny ankle boots, wondered if she didn't have a mirror.
One of them but not both together, bet she was really sweating in all that PVC.

Perms on little boys.I work at a primary and a lot of tgen have this really short cut with a mop of perm on the top

Mariposista · 28/09/2022 21:25

Pretty dresses and pumps
Orange fake tan
Ugg boots
Mega long nails

TroublesComing32 · 28/09/2022 21:30

Shrugs or short sleeve cardigans, surely if it’s cold enough for a cardigan, you need long sleeves!

Sometimes you just want a light/small extra layer.

And I thought they had naturally curly hair and had shaved the bottom so it didn't stick out everywhere. So that shredded wheat effect is "fashion" like Noah on Emmerdale. (I don't know any primary aged boys so what would I know 😊)

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 28/09/2022 21:42

Anything buttoned up to the neck, especially polo shirts. I don’t know why but it just looks wrong.
