Styles which you just don't get or like!

Just that really, and just a bit of a light hearted rant!

I will admit that in the past I have worn both of these things so I get why people where them and I'm not directing it at anyone individually!
BUT I just cannot bare false eyelashes or really long hair extensions. They both just look SO uncomfortable, I
don't know how anyone can really relax wearing them.
Especially the look when half the eyelashes have fallen off and there are just massive clumps of lashes left 😳😳😳😳 I just do not get it it! Whhhhyyyyy do people do this?!

I can't read the facial expressions from the eyebrow bods so find it hard to respond to them. The expression is always the same in every circumstance. Good defence mechanism but hard to relate to.

Circleoflife2057 · 28/09/2022 17:32

Wearing a bra/bralette as an actual top in public. In teens/early 20s people obviously, probably not the Mumsnet style anyway!

Dilbertian · 28/09/2022 17:34

Cropped trousers, especially when they end at the widest part of the calf - they shorten and fatten the wearer's legs.

Men, and it's always men, wearing their trousers below their bums. 🤮

Dilbertian · 28/09/2022 17:37

And pre-ripped jeans. Why?

SudocremOnEverything · 28/09/2022 17:38

My children have never needed pre-ripped jeans! 🤣

IglesiasPiggl · 28/09/2022 17:39

Scrunch bum leggings. They are leggings that disappear up your bum crack ON PURPOSE. 'Nuff said....

MenaiMna · 28/09/2022 17:40

Cannot believe after all these years I still have to say (because they should be DEAD): cold shoulders. Can everyone please stop that nonsense.

pictish · 28/09/2022 17:42

Ooh gilets…don’t get them at all. What is their purpose?

CollieWobble22 · 28/09/2022 17:44

Men in flip flops. It makes my stomach turn 😆 but I know I'm being totally unreasonable.

pictish · 28/09/2022 17:44

Yes those jeans that are all big holes. Never seen anyone look good in a pair. They are baffling.

MaChienEstUnDick · 28/09/2022 17:45

Men in those really ripped jeans. Big slices of man thigh staring you in the face on the train. Yuck.

BloodyHellKen · 28/09/2022 17:45

I realise this may be controversial but tracksuit bottoms. They look really horrible on everyone and really out of place.

Unless you are actually doing sport obviously then they are a practical good thing to keep your leg muscles warm.

SuffolkUnicorn · 28/09/2022 17:46

Anything they sell on PLT type online stores
maxi dresses
chunky trainers
trainers that look like a cross between a sock and a boot
slogan t shirts

SuffolkUnicorn · 28/09/2022 17:46

Yes tracksuit bottoms
see through leggings
most of the clothes on shein

Surtsey · 28/09/2022 17:47

Wheelie-bin-grey outdoor window frames and doors. So incredibly depressing to look at, will date so quickly and be expensive to change.

The 'Bratz Doll' look. There's a lot of it about.

White cars that head-on look like a Stormtrooper's helmet.

GooseberryCinnamonYogurt · 28/09/2022 17:48

Leggings
Trout lips

That's it!

Kissingfrogs25 · 28/09/2022 17:48

Tracksuit bottoms/sportswear in general
when the person is wearing them not to work out but in a restaurant or shopping. Scruffy, shoddy and unflattering universally on almost everyone, particularly awful on anyone over thirty or unshaven/unwashed.

I am always mortified when travelling and I know they are British from afar and so wish we had more style like the Italians.

shrunkenhead · 28/09/2022 17:48

Any jiggery fakery:
Lashes
Trout pout
Hair
Sharpie brows
Fake tan
Botox
Hot pants
Ugg(ly)s
"Active wear"
Dressing like you've been mucking out horses
Fake number plates/personalised number plates etc etc
Big cars on finance etc etc

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 28/09/2022 17:49

Yes, gilets! They only keep your body warm not your arms. Pointless.
Fluffy sliders, especially as outdoor wear. Now sliders are holiday/pool wear and are great for that. Fluffy slippers are for inside because they are impractical outdoors. What utter balloon thought “I know, let’s make your pool shoes fluffy and soggy. Oh and they look great with joggers.”

ThirtyThreeTrees · 28/09/2022 17:49

Bikinis with underboob!!!! They should fit like a bra and support you, not look like your boobs are escaping. Just no

Cut out dresses or bikini, even with the most fantastic figure in the world, they aren't flattering.

PolarPolly27 · 28/09/2022 17:49

Flat knee boots, especially in brown, with jeans/trousers.

Kissingfrogs25 · 28/09/2022 17:50

CollieWobble22 · 28/09/2022 17:44

Men in flip flops. It makes my stomach turn 😆 but I know I'm being totally unreasonable.

Especially with fungus toe nails and hairy feet

HandbagAtDawn · 28/09/2022 17:52

Grandeur · 28/09/2022 17:13

The long Amish/Victorian looking dresses I've seen all the mums wearing at the school gates atm.

This look is baffling to me. No one really looks good in those dresses. They make everyone look huge and Amish.

If I ever wore one I would genuinely look insane.

PlainOldMe80 · 28/09/2022 17:53

Cropped fleeces! Isn't a fleece meant to keep you warm? 🙈🤣

saveforthat · 28/09/2022 17:55

Men that wear trousers that don't cover their ankles accompanied by formal shoes with no socks.
