Can I share my tip for roasties? tried this once about 5 years ago and never did them any different since. AMERICAN CHIP SPICE! Honestly after you have par boiled them and chucked them round the pan so they are fluffy, a good dollop of oil then salt, pepper and a generous coating of chip spice.
Try it, I promise you wont regret it!
And always use dripping or lard
