big patch of it, more appearing every night. Live quite rurally with woods near. Each poo is about 5cm diameter.

would like to know as it’s literally right in the middle of the fecking lawn and now becoming an issue to mow etc!!

Not read the full thread but those pics look very much like my ferret poop, so I would vote for a mustelid, like a European polecat

Wallawallakoala · 27/09/2022 23:12

It really looks like badger poo! But weird it's always in the same spot like whatever it is just uses that exact area as it's toilet!

sweatyannie · 28/09/2022 07:44

Eagerly awaiting results ! Perhaps it is an eagle 🦅 🤣

Sixsmith · 28/09/2022 07:47

To poo on top of poo, they'd have to walk across the existing poo. But the existing poo looks undisturbed. Which is making me think bird, wouldn't a stoat/ferret be too low to the ground and drag their belly through the old poo? How do you safely poo on poo?

olympicsrock · 28/09/2022 07:48

Waiting eagerly for update…

BEAM123 · 28/09/2022 07:53

My money is on the stoat or polecat suggestions. Following this thread as I'm invested now!

Comfyslippers74 · 28/09/2022 08:00

Don't think I've ever been so invested in a MN thread (and I'm easily distracted!). Here for the garden camera update! Top MNing, OP.

youngestisapsycho · 28/09/2022 08:02

Hope the camera caught something 🤞🏼

Datgal · 28/09/2022 08:28

I think badgers dig little holes (latrines) to poo in don

Datgal · 28/09/2022 08:29

Omg, something going wrong with phone today 😂.. anyway, I'm definitely intrigued whatever has done it!

Titsflyingsouth · 28/09/2022 09:32

Fowl of some kind, I reckon. Geese? Ducks?

pennysays · 28/09/2022 13:18

The suspense is killing me... when can we find out?

PornographicPriestess · 28/09/2022 14:11

OP, I think it's bloody disgusting that you've gone to work today rather than updating us all. You should definitely have pulled a sickie.

MrsMitford3 · 28/09/2022 14:57

Does look a bit goose poo ish to me but where have they come from?

Unless @Mykittensmittens neglected the fact that she is beside a river or lake or under a migratory path...

Bunnyfuller · 28/09/2022 15:42

Is there a prize for the right answer?

Nightynightnight · 28/09/2022 16:02

Love that you have set up a camera. 🤣

Mykittensmittens · 28/09/2022 16:21

You’re going to all shout at me.

after a long day out I’ve come home - the sodding SD card wasn’t formatted so no photos!! Rookie error. Card now formatted and back out. Sorry.

however more poo. Poo area is getting bigger!! Dark poo is older, paler poo is newer.

The joyful task of coming to my house and helping clear it up before I mow over it?! 😆

Sorry. I would have rather have been at home, poo or no poo! (‘Team building’ - UGGH)

If it was flight path poo, wouldn't it splatter? This looks deposited

SalviaOfficinalis · 28/09/2022 16:28

This is very intriguing.
Definitely a different vibe from the last hidden camera thread I read (naughty electrician) but no less suspenseful.

BadNomad · 28/09/2022 16:34

Blue/grey feathers! Pigeon.

Mykittensmittens · 28/09/2022 16:47

@BadNomad I’d love you to be right but the whole lawn has pigeon feathers at the moment I think a fox or something (cat? Never seen a cat to be fair) scragged one at the weekend as there are loads right down to the patio. This is 15ft away…

also would it be a coincidence we have a ton more acorns than usual? Something coming in to eat them? Lawn is covered in them.

I've just googled squirrel poo.

Don't do it. Like giant mouse droppings.

I can't wait until tomorrow!

dubyalass · 28/09/2022 18:14

I’ve been on tenterhooks all day! I have no idea what it might be but I’m intrigued.
