big patch of it, more appearing every night. Live quite rurally with woods near. Each poo is about 5cm diameter.

would like to know as it’s literally right in the middle of the fecking lawn and now becoming an issue to mow etc!!

I loved that book as a child.

Unfortunately I did once read an interview with Roald Dahl claiming they never successfully caught a single pheasant, let alone the huge haul netted by Danny and Dad in the woods!

Poachers used to soak raisins in spirit to make pheasants drunk.

No new poo!!!

all the camera triggers are squirrels and DH walking to the compost bin!

i have left the camera in place but I fear this will
only ever be a subjective conclusion of pheasant!

Thanks for updating OP! This has been one of my favourite threads in years 😂

Aha!

Was he mid-poop?

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/11/2022 13:55

I was over invested there - thank god you got to the, err, bottom of it. Beautiful pheasant too

Beer traps might be better, or even wine. They can marinade themselves over several days then pass out on a baking tray...

😂preferably shedding feathers as they go.

Phezzoggs!

You can tame them so they follow you around the garden like a flock of ducklings. Ask me how I know Grin

picklemewalnuts · 01/11/2022 14:28

He's a particularly handsome specimen!

Mykittensmittens · 01/11/2022 21:45

He’s lovely and he hung around a fair while, nibbling acorns. I got quite close. Then he clocked me, made his massive honking call and lumbered/flew into next door, where a slightly over enthusiastic woman with a phone wasn’t chasing him….probably safer!

Given all his magnificent defacating abilities, I'm
not sure I want him following me down onto the patio!!

He's beautiful 😍

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 01/11/2022 21:53

Hooray! Mystery solved.

Quite embarrassed to admit I was fairly preoccupied with this. And who would have thought pheasants were such methodical crappers? Nature is indeed a peculiar thing.
