It was inevitable but in this I feel very sorry for his siblings and daughters.

You're right and it stinks. They're taking us for fools.

I don’t think there’s anything they can do to make the public accept Andrew. The PR machine may work on a lot of people for certain things, but not for the disgusting behaviour of Andrew. I think they’ll be realising that. If they ever thought this would be forgiven of even forgotten by the public, it shows how out of touch they are. Once the next week or so is over, he needs to disappear.

I can see that Andrew is attempting to worm his way back in, utilising his mother's death as a return route. Classy. But are the others really that stupid?

Stupid or conniving?!

Comedycook · 14/09/2022 21:37

My hope is that the other royals are letting Andrew be in public view for the funeral and once this is all over they will keep him out of sight....I hope, I hope!

PoseyFlump · 14/09/2022 21:36

I don't think it counts as conniving, because it's so obviously doomed to fail. Andrew is extremely unpopular, even the evident support of his mother wasn't enough to prevent that, and the remaining ones are less liked than she was.

vera99 · 14/09/2022 21:41

Hmm, Lord Mountbatten, Jimmy Saville, Laurens Van der Post and Bishop Peter Ball as Rolf Harris was won't to say "can you see what it is yet ?"

PoseyFlump · 14/09/2022 21:41

It's ironic that anyone who dares to ask questions is now labelled a conspiracy theorist these days.

But I don't know a single person who believes Epstein committed suicide. So who was responsible for that?

Shpaniel · 14/09/2022 21:42

My point is that it shouldn't take an act of parliament to remove wrong doers from the seat of power .

I kinda think it does need something that official. Whether anyone likes the monarchy or not we currently have a system with rules and process. To remove people willy nilly starts looking even more like a dictatorship than people
complain already about where the RF or anyone in a seat of power can do what they want. We have to go through proper channels and if that’s what it takes to strip him of everything so be it. There is then no grey area and it’s not a side chat from KC asking if he would be so kind as to not be seen in public. No - it’s a resounding message of you are out officially.

PoseyFlump · 14/09/2022 21:46

Just when you thought the country couldn't get in any more of a mess!

Novella4 · 14/09/2022 21:48

I know what you mean but what I meant was the royals are so ensconced (ha) and above the law that it literally needs an Act of parliament to remove them

If an MP pats someone off , he's removed . It doesn't take an Act of Parliament

And they say the royals have no power ...

Novella4 · 14/09/2022 21:48

Pays lol not pats

PoseyFlump · 14/09/2022 22:05

ensconced (ha)

Someone pointed out on a previous thread that nonce stands for 'not on normal courtyard exercise' and how apt it was for PA if you knocked off the yard.

Theblacksheepandme · 14/09/2022 22:28

PoseyFlump · 14/09/2022 21:12

Oh Confused is that why Mountbatten was got rid of? Or is that a speculation too far?

I don't think the IRA blew up Mountbatten because he was a paedophile. There were kids on that boat too.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 14/09/2022 22:36

I'll say yet again that the others - or rather some of them - may have little choice

Granted Andrew no longer has mummy to protect him, but then he no longer has mummy to upset, and who knows what he might come out with if the family fail to give him what he wants?

Shpaniel · 14/09/2022 22:39

Mountbatten was a high profile RF IRA target/victim.

PoseyFlump · 15/09/2022 05:59

@Theblacksheepandme I didn't realise that, always thought he was alone. Didn't know other people died. I'll look it up.

@Puzzledandpissedoff that's a good point. He probably knows about enough skeletons in the closet to be protected.

Shpaniel · 15/09/2022 06:08

There’s no way PA is outsmarting the rest of the RF. Firstly he’s too stupid. It’s one thing for MM to make accusations of racism and how difficult they all are; any sleaze attempt by PA would backfire on him v badly in my view. He’s a social pariah and sex offender with no means of getting an income, Netflix won’t be doing a deal with him. Think if he tried anything he would be fed to the wolves and he knows it.

Yea he most definitely isn't smart what is it

I really think that Andrew and the royal family are seeing this whole mourning/funeral process to get Andrew in front of the public again and a way to shoe horn him back into the fold and a public role. Otherwise they would not be stage managing it in the way they are - Andrew in a car with PW, Andrew centre stage in the procession, pictures of Andrew with praying hands etc etc the royals are one big publicity machine and none of this is by accident.

I hope that you are wrong, but I fear that you are right.

I thought hat Charles had planned to slim down the monarchy & sideline the Yorks years ago.

I had also heard that. It does seem like the most obviously sensible decision, notwithstanding that sometimes people are stupid.

diddl · 15/09/2022 10:06

Although his plans probably included Harry at that point.

I might be thinking of the Diamond Jubilee.

On the balcony there was just HMQ, Charles, Camilla, William, Kate & Harry I think.

@PoseyFlump his 15 year old grandson died along with a 15 year old deckhand. The mother in law of his eldest daughter also died.

I think if you’re going to make outrageous claims it may help you in future to know something of what you’re rambling on about.

Novella4 · 15/09/2022 16:18

There's an FBI file on Mountbatten

Google it

Theblacksheepandme · 15/09/2022 17:43

@Novella4
It makes for very interesting reading. His wife was included in the description of exceptionally low morals.

vera99 · 15/09/2022 19:30

Here you go Uncle Dickie was a pedo according to the FBI - King Charles' favourite Uncle - the FBI that want to interview Prince Andrew. It's called being above the law,
