It was inevitable but in this I feel very sorry for his siblings and daughters.

astounded by the views of those who see heckling as 'worse than sex offenders' I don't think my ghast has been flabbered quite as much as it has been in the last week.

In fairness, it was one poster who tried to word their disapproval at the heckler strongly but It was delivered very poorly. But who knows, they haven't been back.

I was disappointed to see William driving Andrew yesterday, sitting side by side in the front seats.

It shows support for Andrew which is quite terrible given what he’s done.

I think it just shows that someone in a family always has to put up with the black sheep when the family are together.

Completely don't agree with this.
They don't have to put up with him whatsoever.
Someone says right theblacksheepandme your travelling with your uncle in the car and I say fuck off I'm
not travelling with that sick perverse fucker. The royal family are an institution like the church and stick together, lie, cover things up and are beyond the law.

You will often find it's the black sheep of the family that speaks up on wrong doing and that's why they find themselves ostracized. Andrew is definitely not the black sheep as they are willing to walk with him and travel in a car with him

Any mention of Charles' close relationship with Savile/Ball yet? I was astounded to hear that at one point that Savile was considered as a marriage counsellor for C + D, but maybe I dreamt that bit.

Kind of a strange set of friends when you think about it.

And the house he bought for his nonce priest friend to live in. With Charles and Andrew you only have to look at the timeline to see they continued these relationships after they knew. Says a lot.

It's unfair to expect us to forget all these connections the royals have with these creeps. It's unforgivable. What do we do? Become more Rory?

Completely agree.

William is a man in his 40s who will soon be King; either grow a back bone or give the job to someone who won't protect a sex abuser

Look, I don't think it is possible to exclude PA from the funeral. However regarding the driving or ferrying or whatever, that should be broken up into a car for each branch of the family. No sharing with Andrew, he and his daughters could travel together. Maybe that's what will happen when they depart the Abbey on Monday I don't know.

Otherwise, no matter what you might think of him, it is just not right to publicly exclude him from his mother's funeral. If he hadn't been walking it would make people far more gossipy.

When the dust settles, then get the gloves off please Charles!

Porcupineintherough · 14/09/2022 19:44

Well they are reporting this afternoon that PA will retain his role as Counsellor of State, so he'll be able to stand in for King Charles if he's abroad/indisposed. So that's nice Hmm.

Novella4 · 14/09/2022 19:50

This morning a poster insisted that a bill was already ready to remove Andrew . She appeared 100% sure she was right

My point is that it shouldn't take an act of parliament to remove wrong doers from the seat of power . That's why the monarchy needs to be removed

greenhousegal · 14/09/2022 19:58

I wonder who sponsored the bill to remove Andrew? Where and from whom did it originate, the Queen?

Novella4 · 14/09/2022 20:12

@greenhousegal
Good question!

I can't remember the posters name . She was insistent that Charles was way ahead of objectors and it was all in hand

Ah, but will it be passed by the Commons/Lords? I suppose if it's by request of the Crown it should. It will be interesting to see how it progresses, and if in fact it does!

Novella4 · 14/09/2022 20:32

Wait a minute - Charles had no authorty to do anything re MPs while the queen was alive

And he certainly hasn't done it since the queen's death

Theblacksheepandme · 14/09/2022 20:42

@Novella4
The attached above was meant for you.

Novella4 · 14/09/2022 20:47

@Theblacksheepandme
Thank you
Yes I knew there were 'calls' but I didn't think anything had been done

Then Robert Preston tweeted reminding everyone that Andrew is still a councillor of state and in line to take over if Charles was incapacitated.

Royalists dismissed the issue and one stated that Charles has organised a bill already ans was way ahead of us.

CathyorClaire · 14/09/2022 20:56

There's also his valued mentor, Mountbatten.

A hat-trick of pervs if you like.

No sharing with Andrew, he and his daughters could travel together.

I quite agree.

I was 😮 that Wills managed to miss the optics of that one.

CathyorClaire · 14/09/2022 21:08

Ah, balls.

I meant Van Der Post but the Mountbatten allegations potentially make it four 😮

PoseyFlump · 14/09/2022 21:12

Oh Confused is that why Mountbatten was got rid of? Or is that a speculation too far?

MsFogi · 14/09/2022 21:16

I really think that Andrew and the royal family are seeing this whole mourning/funeral process to get Andrew in front of the public again and a way to shoe horn him back into the fold and a public role. Otherwise they would not be stage managing it in the way they are - Andrew in a car with PW, Andrew centre stage in the procession, pictures of Andrew with praying hands etc etc the royals are one big publicity machine and none of this is by accident.

You're right and it stinks. They're taking us for fools.

As the rest of them ( even SavileAngry] didn't die in a hail of bullets or bombs, it possibly might be 🤔

Andrew has been flying return to the fold kites virtually since the interview that ruined him.

See packing cupcakes for the NHS some four months later.

PerfectlyPreservedQuagaarWarrior · 14/09/2022 21:34

I can see that Andrew is attempting to worm his way back in, utilising his mother's death as a return route. Classy. But are the others really that stupid?

PoseyFlump · 14/09/2022 21:34

Ah yes @vera99 that's the documentary I remember watching now. That poor lad Neil Todd who killed himself.

We must never stop talking about this. These poor people must never be forgotten.
